Absolutely! Haven't used WK soap for awhile; may need to revisit it, especially the Project Leather.

Hope your night was uneventful, Ken.
Back when I started the straight razor thing. They (WK) had a big buzz. I got Merchant of Tobacco and this Project Leather. I think it's pretty skippy soap.
Since then I have gotten a few other really good soaps with Tobacco notes. So I did not feel the need to replace the Merchant tub. Not because it wasn't good. Just for the sake of variety and trying other soaps. I have been diagnosed with SAD. Since my insurance will not cover the cost of my therapy for SAD. My wife is doing her best to help me deal with the insidious disorder. Her main method is "The stink eye stare of disappointment" whenever a package arrives containing shaving soap. Even though it is a harsh and uncivilized method. It has proven to be effective in the short term. Although some studies show. Long term "Stink Eye exposure" causes cancer in albino lab rats. I'm not too concerned as I don't carry the albino gene.
And thank you Bruce for your well wishes about my night. Yes it was about as uneventful as I can get. As it really didn't do much. A gravy storm in all honesty. Soon to be evened out by a real bitch of a storm. As the universe hates for equations not to balance out.

Well gentlemen, it appears the universe has decided to balance the equation out. The last whimsical frozen precipitation event. Shall be followed by two separate accumulations of snow. Here in the "Mid Atlantic" area, as of now the forecast is for 6-14 inches with a possibility of 1/4" of ice in there too.
For me the battle will commence at 0600 Sunday morning. And shall not end until many gallons of diesel and tons of salt are consumed. And the storm has been vanquished.
I will most likely be away from my homestead until Wednesday evening. The back of my pickup will be used for my mobile storm rest center. It is equipped with a mattress, sleeping bag and a small but effective ceramic space heater.
I will be posting up anything noteworthy here. And possibly filming some of the festivities with my body cam. Depending on the quality of that footage I may post that up later. For those of you that may be curious what all the fuss is about.
We have quite a few new people that while they have been working with me for 2+ years at Highways. Have yet to have to plow more than a couple inches of snow. Or work more than 2 days in a row. Suffice to say. Time will tell if they come out the other side of the storm with their sanity and pride intact. For those who lack the proper mindset. This type of event can be a gut check. Stay tuned for all the news from District Route #34. Your intrepid snow removal expert and the star of the show. "Daddy's Girl" truck #0090

Back of the truck?! 😵 Presumably with a hard shell top on? 😂 Still sounds like a cold night!

Need to construct yourself one of those suped up cargo vans folks turn into camper vans!

Be safe out there Ken!
Not that many generations ago this would have been considered a mansion in the US....

It still would be for the majority of folks in the world. We are blessed, indeed!

(Wish I could talk my lovely wife into one of these. Could you imagine no lawns to mow!)

After 10 hours the enemy has finally managed to slightly cover the road. Apparently her tactic this time is a war of attrition. A slow methodical approach. Our plows are broad. Our resolve as hard as their steel. Through this night we shall endeavor to persevere.
No surrender, no retreat.
