Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Busy afternoon today. Finally got my package shipped to my secret santa buddy. Before any comments from the peanut gallery. That's TWO Days ahead of the deadline. Lets just say the UPS store was a hopping place. People are acting squirrely the China Virus is messing with people. Don't usually carry spare magazines. But may start. People walking around wearing masks blank stares in their eyes. Like a Walking Dead casting call.
Then had to go to Kohl's for the wife. To pick up an online order. Another long line full of a mixed bag of individuals. Some quiet, and some agitated. Rude and hostile to the workers. I told the lady waiting on me. The guy in line with the black jacket's name is Ebenezer Douche. You can look for his package while you look for mine to save some time. Her laugh and his stare made my time in Kohl's a bit more enjoyable. The holidays are here. Let's make the best of them.

Tonight's shave was all around good.
The Worldmaster made from Kaiser Ellisons' Best Sheffield Silver Steel is a triumph of straight razor craftsmanship.
Sterling soap has a following for a reason. The Yaqui badger is a pleasure to use. Master Topaz to finish it off and the sum of all these parts is a most enjoyable process.
Hope you all had a good Saturday.

Glad I don't have one of those contraptions. The guy must not have to change his own blades. Running down a dry/bare highway burns them up pretty quickly.
And it's bust ass work to get out the impact gun and torch to get the bolts out. And then man handle the new cutting edges in place. Whatever you do. Don't send that crap to my boss's. They would want to buy the damn thing. Then try and figure out where to use it.

Thursday shave.
Back to the DPRK razor. First touch up was not up to my extremely high standards. So I spent some more time on the Translucent Arkie. It is now acceptable and will go in the cigar box. Almost done rotating through my complete collection. Was hoping to have time to work on my razor rack with my dad. But the China Virus has put kabosh on that. Since my mom is still doing Chemo. It's not worth the risk. Hope you all had a good Thursday. And are either in your "weekend" or ready for the start of it tomorrow.
The Grecian Horse 1508.5 is going well.
Take it easy guys.

I am really sorry to hear about everything. Life kind of sucks right now for a lot of people...but I can't imagine what you and your family are going through right now. Especially keeping the distance you are from your loved ones. Saying a little prayer for you and your family.

Tonight's shave was a most pleasant affair.
The razor held back to be my last one in my rotation through my collection this time was my Genco Easy Aces. Gentleman, if you ever want a top notch American made razor. Take a gander a Genco's. This one is as good to shave with. As it is to look at. And don't we all like shiny things. 1508.5 continues for little while longer on the Grecian Horse.
And the lather whipped up with my well broke in Omega Boar. Also using up this Proraso AS with heavy rotation of it. Want to pair down aftershaves like my soaps. To arrive at the situation where I enjoy them all.
Hope everyone's Saturday went well.

Sunday went well in my little part of the big blue marble.
This shave features another domestic brand razor that I have an affinity for, Robeson. This is a "New Science Concave". All of the Robeson's I have are nice razors. I would say any of them in good shape would treat you right. Enjoyed watching the games today. Already dragged the trash can around. Now going to eat a muffin or two before I head up to bed.
Have a good Monday guys.

Monday’s shave.
Continuing with my Robeson razors. When you have more than one of something. It is a safe bet the first didn’t disappoint. Of course that theory falls apart in the case of wives.

This one has a sticker on the scales. That says “ground and honed for tough beards and tender skin”. And the etch says of course “The razor that fits your face”
Have a good one guys.
