Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Last night worked my side job. Doing my Barney Fife job. This time it was a homecoming dance for my old high school.
It went off without a hitch.
Kind of a subdued Affair. Nothing too exciting happened. Except one instance. when the DJ played a song that instructs the people dancing. To “put your hands in the air”. Some of the females forgot that such a maneuver would cause a wardrobe malfunction. Their dresses popped up just as quickly as their hands. I’m just guessing. But the poor girls must have come from disadvantaged families. In order to spend money on tickets to the dance, fancy dresses and shoes. They must have had to fashion knickers from old bits of string attached to discarded eye patches instead of buying them. Oh well. They didn’t seem too embarrassed

Today was a good day. Spent some time channeling the spirits of the ancient honing masters. From the Land of the Rising Sun.
It is with their guidance. My hands have the ability to impart the "Shogun Edge" TM, Patented in 33 countries. My hypothesis that the Ralf Aust razor would take less effort to get the desired results. Was of course correct. And while i had the hones out. I put a edge on one of the razors that was given to me by a coworker. It's an old appox. 1900's Boker.
With a drednaught tip. And heavy 1/4-1/2 hollow grind. This old feller has some hone wear. So I used two pieces of tape. It also has a wavy/uneven bevel.
Lets just say Carl at the Boker factory had a off day. But I've seen worse. With a bit of time. It came around.

Test shave with the Aust was very pleasant. And It will prolly be back in the mail tomorrow. So that it's owner may use it to remove unwanted facial hair.
Have a good one guys. Fluffy

Love the scent of this soap. Nice performance as well. The Omega is back in the regular rotation for my small brush collection. The Dubl Duck wiped off the whiskers with the usual amount of ease. Brandy Spice follows the show and play off this soap very well.
Hope all of you had a good hump day.
Fluffy.

Tonight's shave is a pre Thanksgiving type of affair.
For the soap. I give thanks to a all around good guy Dave in KY CBL Breakfast Blend
For the brush. I give thanks to DeepSea Yaqui Badger.
The razor I give thanks to luck of the ebay. Smile C-Mon Hand Forged
The aftershave I give thanks to a friend in Germany for finding a way to get it to me. CHH Tobacco.
The result of all these items used in conjunction was a really nice shave.
This hobby has resulted in many unexpected outcomes. All positive except for my discretionary income. Smile
