Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Hot as Hades today in the Peoples Republic of Maryland. Still decided to head out and forage for some raspberries. Had spied a large amount of them growing wild on the side of one of the roads. About 5 clicks north of my HQ. Gallon bucket in the truck. Boots and long pants. Hit the road. But upon getting to the patch. I realized that they (berries) were not quite ripe enough. Will have to keep an eye on them. Returned to HQ empty bucket and all.
In order to raise my morale. Decided to shave a bit early.
1508.5 continues like a glacier down the mountain. Slow, sure and measurable. Skipped yesterdays shave. So had a fair amount of Sasquatch like whiskers to remove.
Burrell Top Flight No. 1 got the call. The New York Steel groaned and pinged. But prevailed. My patented two pass method. Left my mug BBS and the Tabac smells dang good.
According to the captain of the Lucky Dragon. My Gold Dollar is Expected Oct. 7. Heck yea. May it be smooth sailing to the intrepid crew of the Lucky Dragon.DFCD70C3-E3A8-4BC4-A975-D0E8A4A4DC4E.jpegE5153BDF-4EF2-4652-BFD3-F8D639F9BAB6.png

Yup..the heat is sucking all across the country right now! We have had a little reprieve in my neck of the woods...the summer weather cycle finally hit and we are now getting afternoon showers to cool things off a little. Not much...but enough to make a bit of difference. The bad thing with the cycle of heat and rain is that I really could mow my grass at least twice a week now!

Stay cool my man!

Thanks for all the pep talk and well wishes guys. Yea been adapting and overcoming since 1987 there @Dave in KY Fort Benning GA where I learned how much I love summer.
Thus I do know how much more it could suck. As I’m not wearing a Kevlar and humping a ruck and rifle. Black topping is plenty hot. But even it is way easier than what I did in the Army. C’mon 1500 when I get out of here. And into AC
