Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Not too busy Dave. Just forgot to take my phone upstairs. And was too lazy to go get it. 😱
Thanks for the well wishes Chris.
Hope you guys have a good day.

Well decent day today. As far as Mondays go. No run in's with pissed off female tax payers. The worst thing was the 90+ degree heat. But that is relative. Just ask the guys in the desert south west. Decided to go with a plain jane razor tonight. Inspired by a razor that popped up in my E-bay "you may also like" feed. The Infamous "Gold Dollar"
My Double Arrow is a well made nicely ground razor. With a nice thin extra hollow grind. And also a nice "ring" to it indicating, a nice hardness. It honed up easy. And has always held a nice edge. So I have no pre conceived negative bias against a Chinese made razor. The GD razors have been discussed and hyped and derided. On most of the other forums. As many of you probably know all too well. But having not personally had one. I've decided that I am going to get one and play around with it. And post up my experience with a $5.oo razor. This includes shipping from around the world. Besides I'm bored. Vintage razors are almost a "sure" thing. This is the sickness that is RAD. Let's see how long it takes to get to me. Then if I can get it to give an acceptable shave.
Tonight's shave. Nice patented two pass shave. With my 1508.5 going on. Nice cool off with my Skin Bracer. Ready to get going on Tuesday. Hope you all made out ok on your Monday.
Fluffy.

Since you shave at night do you reapply something in the morning to brighten the smell of the cab of your truck?

Hot swamp crotch of a day here in Maryland. Got whored out to another crew to do traffic control. It's tough watching people bumble around and not accomplish much. I bit my tongue and left them alone. Too hot to get my blood pressure up. Did tell their crew chief that he was doing a "great" job. That was as I was rolling out In my truck. Trying to take the high road. Doesn't feel right whenever I do it.
Been holed up in my row home. AC chewing up Kilowatts like Godzilla does to Tokyo.
Tonight's shave the usual 2 pass affair. Nice BBS result. The Adoration Deluxe taking care of business. With WK Merchant of Tobacco applied with the AP Cashmere butterfly kisses.
Finished off with the Monsinieur Gold.

It is also day 3 of my wait for the famed Gold Dollar razor. The Captain of the junk has filed a log for today.

Captains log. CMV (Chinese Merchant Vessel) Lucky Dragon.
Day 3 Bound for USA. Crew morale: high. Winds: steady. Weather: fair. Once the crew was informed of our destination and that the cargo was a legendary Gold Dollar blade forged in the very fires of Mount Wuhan. By master Sum Ting Wong himself. A sense of purpose and quiet determination permeated the ship. A school of dolphins have been shadowing us. A good omen.9B7C5E08-EBE7-4B1F-B7B2-75E8AD7F4ADA.jpeg
