Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

It just flurries at my house for about 30 minutes. Two times Texas has had snowflakes this year!

Wed. SOTD
Razor: Robeson Shuredge $2.oo model 1686
Brush: Razorock 400
Soap: Captains Choice 45th parallel
AS; Myrsol Aqua Balamica

This razor is just as received it. Except for honing. It has a little hone wear (not from me). And some light grey patina that I decided to not polish off. I have several Robesons and all are very good razors. But this is my favorite of them. Gents if you want a great American razor. Robeson should be considered.

Pretty uneventful day for me. Rain on and off. Had some odd job kind of stuff at the county early on. Then was tasked with taking one of our Tri-axles to clean out the salt that had to be left in the salt spreading insert. So Gear Jamming I went. My usual baby dump, is automatic. This old KW is a manual 18 speed, jake brake, twin turbo old girl. No coffee drinking relaxing, button pushing.
In my densly populated county there is not a lot of open road. Up and down through the gears keeps you busy.
Daddy's girl didn't get jealous. She knows who's my favorite.
Like the soap. Smells very close to my Dunderslag Scheermonnik.
@MilkCrate yep luv my SWK it was a present to myself a few years back.
Bring on Thursday. The only way we get to Friday.

I like it enough to say when I finish it. I will prolly get another.
it’s a light scent. Not good at describing smells. I would say maybe citrus like with like a “sea air” kind of scent to it. Nice face feel afterward.
Facorites are 1. Alt Innsbruck 2. Figaro monsenior. 3. Clubman Brandy spice. 4. Tabac man. 5 Aqua Velva 6. India Old Spice
7. Tabac original. 8 Proraso Green 9. Skin Bracer. 10. Pitralon Classic.
Honestly though this list could be in any order for numbers 2-10.
Depends on my mood and if I want cooling/menthol. Or light short lived scent or lasting scent. Some have a bit more soothing effect.
My $.02

Unfortunately scent is one of the most subjective things in this hobby.
Have you tried Pitralon Polar. Aqua Velva Sport is very close in smell. The Pitralon is the winner on strength and skin feel though.

No I haven't tried the Polar. I agree with skin feel: that stuff absorbed quickly and left my face and neck feeling nicely toned. Those are most important, IMO.

Hello all Cadre members. Fluffy here. Reporting from the rain soaked marsh land of Harford County Maryland.
As the rain pours down on the roof of my truck. I ponder the theme of my next shave.
The one that comes to mind....
My oldest razor? Or my newest razor? Production date wise?
As usual the polls close early 1900 EST
