Fluffy's Curmudgeon Corner

Well what do you know. My little journal of rambling and goings on has reached the Century page mark. Guess that calls for a celebratory rant about the good old USPS. Plus one other thing.
My surprise package was carefully handed over to them on Friday the 12th. At 1356 hrs. And it currently is still being listed as in the Distribution Center in Linthicum Heights MD. No idea why. No weather to speak of. Not even rain or cold temps. How in the hell am I going to get my instant gratification that every American has a right to expect? Guess if I wrote on the package "Urgent Covid Supplies" they'd get it going. So I guess the estimated delivery time of Monday before 9pm. Is just a big F-U, hold your breath sucker.
Just got done setting my clocks ahead for Daylight Saving Time. This one of them "good" ideas some wanker invented a long time ago. George Hudson from Kiwi Nation New Zealand is credited with this doozy. He wanted more daytime to go bug hunting. Well George you are not remembered fondly old boy. I also don't really like bugs. But atleast they don't make me change my clock. Just spray some chemicals occasionally.
Thanks to Jackwagon George Monday gets here an hour earlier guys. So think about him when you are getting rid of tomorrows first cup of coffee. And wish you were doing so on his grave. I will be.

Whenever I had a patient that was gray, they were ready for the ICU. Already in an ICU? Time for the OR. At least, that's been my experience.
Hey Bruce. One time down at Fort Chaffee Arkansas. We put a tarantula in a guys footlocker. When he opened it up, he went from black to grey. Ran out the barracks so fast. He tore the screen door off the hinges. Came back mad as hornet and cleared the place out brandishing his bayonet. I slept in my hummer for a few days till things settled down. Wish I had filmed the incident. He left a dust trail like the Little Rascals once he hit the dirt outside the barrack. Good times.

Alert! Alert!

Someone may have a box in their mailbox very soon. 🤠 Yee Haw.

Tuesday’s shave.
Korrat 14 2.0
Yaqui Badger
Cella
Myrsol Agua Balsamica

Cella is solid performing soap. Buy a 1KG block and you have enough soap to shave a Sasquatch family for a year.
My only “modern” straight. And what a gem it is. This is Ulrick’s thinned grind. He does them in bellied hollow as well.
If you haven’t checked this maker out. You are missing out on a pretty skippy brand.
Hope everyone is wearing green and enjoying the day. I’m half Irish so there is that bit ‘o’ trivia. FWIW.

Wednesday’s shave
Black Star Razor
Hub city Morning Hike soap
AP Cashmere brush
4711 AS

First sample of the ones that HighSpeed sent along. Want to try the Hub City soap to get a bead on the base. On first blush. It’s pretty good. This scent is a nice bright one. At medium+ strength. Enjoyed using it. Tomorrow think I’ll use the Ethos DFS collaboration soap. As I am keen to try that base and the scent is nice too.
We are over the hump and heading to the weekend guys. Hang in there.
