One of my better marketing ideas Eric. I love the claims that some razor makers used to get people to go for their razors and other stuff.
The Razor That Fits Your Face, Carbo Magnetic, The Celebrated Hollow Ground, World Master, Wonder Edge, Satin Edge, Diamond Edge etc.

]Thursday's Shave.
Second day of the March Madness sample extravaganza.
Tonight's soap Ethos DFS Colonia. First off. It's a bright and enjoyable scent. Like it a good bit. Think I may have got the ratio of water to product wrong. The shave was still very nice. But will be more careful upon next use. And start off with a dryer brush and get a denser result. It is a very stable lather. And from all the rave reviews I'm pretty sure it is capable of being better than a "nice" soap. Post shave was still above average and that may also improve as well.
This is prolly going to be the last time you'll see the Razorock 400 brush, with it's original synthetic knot. Going to get it switched over with the AP Gealousy Badger Two Band that is on the way. Groundhog day'd the Black Star. As I wanted to judge the soaps performance without the variable of different razors.
Hope you guys are ready for Friday.

Wait what???
I’ve looked it up too. Here, it’s supposed to be just called Nivea Men Deep but from what I understand it’s the same thing. Or perhaps the Vanilla/Bourbon labeling is older and they’ve since dropped it? Idk.

There’s supposed to be a more potently scented version too but I can’t find it for sale anywhere.

Hmm, I've thought about buying the Deep many times on Amazon. Right, they don't have the Vanilla and Bourbon one.

March Madness shave soap sample extravaganza rolls on. Tonight’s soap Hub City Friday Night Lights. Had to use this soap that My Kentucky buddy sent. Cause it’s freakin Friday duh ?
Nice scent at a nice strength. Nice base. Works well. Whipped and applied by my nicely broken In Omega Boar Brush. Sometimes when I use this boar. I wonder do I/we really need a bunch of fancy brushes? This is so close to my two badgers at a much much lower price point. Then I push that thought right back down to the dark recesses of my mind. To hang out with the ones that tell me to drive Daddy’s Girl down to Washington DC and treat the swamp creatures like mailboxes.
Have a stupid fun weekend. Mine is going to be good. Gonna go get some wings with a riding buddy. And catch up.

Saturday Shave.
Dubbers Razor
AP Shave Cashmere Brush
Grooming Dept. Aion (Nai) Soap
Old Spice AS

The March Madness Sample Extravaganza keeps rolling along. This soap is very nice with a wood and earthy scent. Good strength that lasts throughout the shave. Very soft consistency. Nice solid performance. Thanks to HighSpeed for the sample.
The Dubbers Razor is at Fluffy Industries to get the full on Shogun treatment. It's a perfect example of a Solingen razor. Good steel, with a nice grind that sits flat on the hones.
No surprises. The shave was a nice relaxed affair. As I am used to wielding a Shogun edge. And as has been pointed out in my past posts. By sending a razor to me. And requesting a "Shogun Edge". You have indemnified myself and Fluffy Industries from any legal action or claims. Should you suffer any injuries as a result of the extreme sharpness that is imparted to your razor.
This blade will be cleaned, stropped and made ready to make the short trip back up I-95 to Jersey and @SteveChuckFrank . Tomorrow's razor will be Steve's Grandpappy's razor. While it has some patina. It is a solid razor with no issues that would be a cause for concern. Or make me not want to use it. It as well as the Dubbers actually required nothing other than a very light amount of "touch up" to get in really good shape. While I had everything out. I touched up six of my razors that had been up on the "tugging a bit shelf" So now they will go back in the cigar box and rotation.
Today's lunch with my buddy JoJo went very well. The wings were good and spicy. And my request for them to be crisp was honored. Pretty skippy day. Hope all of you had a nice Saturday as well.

There’s a bar down in Clearwater Beach that we go to when we’re down for Spring training. They do “Daytona” style wings. The wings are cooked normally, then they put your sauce of choice on, then they put them on the grill for a few minutes. It makes the sauce solidify a bit and makes them extra crispy and way less messy haha!

Tonight's shave was... in a word SKIPPY.
Why you ask? Well don't worry you're gonna hear about it guys. Those of you that follow me. (That's everybody right?) Knows that I'm working on @SteveChuckFrank 's two straights. Tonight was his Grandpappy's F. A. Clauberg Tonsorial Gem. I decided that since I put the Shogun Edge on the Dubbers razor. The Gem would get a Translucent Arkansas finish.
That was a fortuitous decision. This razor slid around on my mug, like a stick of butter on a corn cob. It may look plain jane. But it now has a Playmate of the year edge.
The Hub City Red Cabin Soap smells really similar to Stirling Haverford. Which is good cause I like that. This sample from my buddy in Kentucky is still appreciated but because of scent it would be redundant to get a tub. Performance is very nice. The Nivea Bourbon Vanilla pairs well with this soap. And went on with zero warmth/irritation. I'm taking this as an omen that Monday is not going to be sucky.
Hope you guys are ready to get the week going.
