Down in the Heart of Texas!

I'll try to do a video using it tomorrow to show as it's been too long since using and LOVE the scent. Not the best later but very acceptable when got correct. Water may be the variable (hard or soft not the amount) Don't be afraid to OVER load it as it is triple milled and will last forever anyway.

Thanks Dave! I will wait to use it until I watch your video.

So my soaps came in the other day, and so far I have used the PdP No. 63 which I said was definitely in my wheelhouse scent wise.
Baker Street is one that I have used before, but I really like the scent of this one too. It is more of a fresh cologne type scent.
Noble Otter Two Kings is also really nice. I got it because I did want to try a floral soap, and KJ recommended MW Lily of the Valley. Maggards doesn't carry that soap, but Two Kings has that in it so I took a chance on it. It also has sandalwood and oud and it is a really nice fresh scent.
Then Ghost Town Barber. This is a bullseye hit for me scent wise. I also bought the aftershave and it smells like a smokey whiskey. I really like the scent of this soap and I am going to use it tomorrow morning to see how it does. I may be joining the GTB cult.

Results:

Well I bought a tub of GTB and the aftershave because there are a lot of fans here on the Cadre. It was a blind buy, but I could not be happier. The scent is absolutely amazing and I got a pretty darn good lather from it. It was pretty thick and slick, although that could be from me possibly overloading my brush, but it was totally worth it. I left my brush a little more damp than I usually do and took my time building the lather, and it did not disappoint! It doesn't have great residual slickness, but I had so much lather that it wasn't a big deal to re-apply when needed.

I used the 7 a.m. blade that Tim had sent me a while back and it is probably one of the more aggressive blades I have used so far. Not a bad thing by any means, but next time I use it I may use the #3 plate. Still I came away with a DFS+ for the win!

Because of @Dave in KY talked so highly about the GTB splash I decided to buy it too. First impression is the alcohol smell is very strong, but it smells like a good whiskey. I put a couple drops on and to my surprise there was no sting from the alcohol, however I was not expecting the menthol. Boy did that really wake me up. My face just now stopped tingling and I applied it about an hour ago. Overall this set was an excellent buy and I can now say with confidence that I am part of the GTB cult.

Homefront:

Today I have the day off from work, so I will be spending the day working on the house. So far the laundry room, dining room, hallway, master bedroom, and bathroom are done. That just leaves the guest room, living room, and the babies room to be finished. Today my FIL and I will hang the sheet rock in the guest room and finish painting and texturing the living room. Then hopefully by the first week of April all we will have to do is start setting up the baby furniture!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I am sorry for rambling on a little bit this morning. I hope y'all have a great day!

Wow, tons of work you've done there. Moving in will be that much sweeter.
We actually already moved in haha. The house is livable, just the few rooms need stuff done to them. However, once it is done then I can enjoy fishing on the weekends!

Cadre Wednesday for a great cause, woohoo! Git er dun Pat!
Break time. It's coming along, but it is going slower than expected.
