Down in the Heart of Texas!

What a gal! Your very own shave den/man cave? I’m jealous!
She's definitely a good woman! Thanks for reading Chris!

Shave Den for the win! (Come on, ya knew that was coming)
I would not expect anything different Tim!

Whooo! Did you hear the angels when the gates of heaven opened?
I did at first, but then it was drowned out by the sound of the cat sharpening her claws.

Congrats Pat. She put in a vanity and painted. What a gem you got there Pat.
Thanks Dave! She is a gem indeed! I have a pretty big surprise for her coming at the end of the month.

Great shave today. I have used the NEW LC twice, the NEW SC twice, and the OLD OC twice. So far my favorite is the NEW SC. I don't know if that is considered more mild or what, but I feel like it gets the closest shave of the three. I am definitely going to try put some others, but I am not sure which one I will be next.
The soap was just ok today. It seemed weird that it did not have the usual slickness that rivals CBL. Hopefully that was just a one time thing. The alum and aftershave gave some negative feedback. I must have been really heavy handed today.

Homefront:

Still putting together the shave den. The sink is taking a little longer to install than I anticipated. I guess that is what happens when the last update was nearly 50 years ago. I got some storage stuff and I think I am going to replace the mirror that is in there. Hopefully it will all be ready by Sunday!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Monday!

Blade rigidity aficionados love the NEW SC. It really clamps down on the blade, for what it's worth. It's a favorite of mine.

Thanks for the info Frank!

I think we've all been spoiled by CBL and the ever improving shave products. I feel like B&M has become a little stagnant, IMO, but maybe I'm just not paying close attention like I used to.

To be fair this is my first B&M soap. The Excelsior base really jumped out at me for the slickness. The first few times I used this soap I really thought the slickness and residual slickness rivaled CBL, but this time it did not.

Be sure to take pics of the new den as it develops!
I will make sure to do that Chris!

Can’t wait to see the new den!
I will try and post some pics tomorrow!

Exact same shave as yesterday. I got worried that maybe this soap was starting to go bad because the slickness was way off yesterday. However, it was just me. I don't know what I did yesterday, but today the in-shave and residual slickness was back and I no longer had to worry. Last shave with the OLD OC and I stand by what I said yesterday. The NEW SC is still my favorite. Not sure which razor I will try next. I'm torn between the Slim and Tech.

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Tuesday!
