Awesome mail call today. Got a package from Stirling which contained the splashes that I was missing for soaps I have plus Deton-8 since it was on sale (I was saving money at that point). Actually I blame @bentheduck. He said that Deton-8 was a little closer to Spicebomb than Oleo Wayoh so I had to see the difference. Deton-8 is sharper in my opinion.
The highlight today was the razor. This is from the Vintage Gillette DE pass around box from @Spider which also came in today. I went with the NEW Long Comb since that was the razor KJ recommended to me. I decided to load it with a new Voskhod since it is a really smooth and mild blade. I went with my usual 3 pass shave of WTG, XTG, and XTG the other way.
I really enjoyed the razor and I definitely feel like my face is smoother than when I use my other DE razors and even possibly the OREN. As far as my neck goes there is still the similar roughness around the Adam's Apple. I am thinking of using a Gillette Rubie with this razor tomorrow to see if that makes a difference on the neck.
All on all it was a great shave and I am very happy that I joined in on this pass around. Besides the OC razors I think I may try some of the other TTO's that are included. Thank you for putting this together KJ!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and have a happy hump day!

Very good shave today. Used the Gillette NEW LC again today and this time I decided to use a Rubie blade to see if that would help get my neck to BBS. Well, it didn't, but that's okay. I really like the razor so I will probably be looking to get one soon. I still want to try the SC and a few others. Thanks again KJ!
Atomic Age Bay Rum is my new favorite Bay Rum. I love the scent of this stuff and it leaves me feeling fresh and cool (July shave theme). PAA is a wonderful soap to use and leaves my face feeling refreshed!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all have a great Thursday!

Nice refreshing shave yesterday and I was a little bummed out I didn't save it for today. I mowed the lawn this morning/afternoon and I wanted another cooling refreshing shave. Then I remembered Proraso Green and boy am I glad I did. Not as cooling as Iron Throne, but the soap and splash combo is very refreshing.
Decided to use the NEW SC today and I was really surprised by it. Another great shave with an OC razor and while the neck area isn't BBS, it did get nearly as close as I get with a straight. So I will have a tough decision on my hands. I'll probably use this razor one more time before trying out the OLD OC razor.

Homefront:

Well my wife did something I never thought she would do. She kicked the cat out of the spare bathroom/my eventual shave den. The cat didn't do anything wrong, but my wife wanted to surprise me so she put in a vanity and painted the room so that I now OFFICIALLY have a shave den. The cat is fine with it since she sleeps wherever she chooses and now the litter box will go in the corner of the laundry room. But I was very surprised and very shocked that she did that for me and I am very appreciative. So tomorrow and Monday I will be moving my stiff in there and getting shelves and other stuff. Hopefully next weekend I can record my first shave video!

I hope y'all all have a Happy 4th of July! Thank y'all for reading!
