Man oh man what a shave! This may beat out Iron Throne for my favorite CBL scent. Awesome job @CBLindsay! This was a sample from @Maryland998 and I am so happy I hot to try it. I checked and it is not on the site anymore, but I shall hope it returns. Slickness was off the charts. The Premium base already has great slickness, but paired with the Cube 2.0 this blows B&M Excelsior out of the water. Awesome shave with the OREN and I am BBS and smelling great!
Saturday I will be getting two of the Titans in my possession in SV Cosmo and PannaCrema Nuavia Rossa. I want to do a showdown similar to @BarberDave so I will be using the top two performing soaps in my den and those two. Tomorrow I will use ETHOS Succès (previous rating 24/25)
Friday will be CBL Iron Throne (previous rating 24/25)
Saturday will be PannaCrema Nuavia Rossa
Sunday will be SV Cosmo
For this test to better differentiate between soaps I will use decimal points and add post-shave feel. I will only use the OREN razor with the Feather ProGuard and @Smattayu AoG PIF brush. I will not use the PAA Cube 2.0 and I will also only face lather because of what I have read regarding SV soaps. I am excited to see how my results may differ from Dave's when he did this!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and I hope y'all had a great Wednesday!

My first CBL soap was Ghost Dragons Blood. You can email him and ask if he can make up a custom order of Dragons Blood.

Dragons blood certainly has become popular, right up there with Roasted Oatmeal Stout. I was actually planning on a larger release of “Dragons Pub” soon, a dragons blood soap made with stout beer for a little extra skin conditioning and richer lather with a hint of the pub notes mmm.
I DO have the necessary oils as well as a second oil that sadly has no reason to call itself dragons blood

That sounds awesome! I have ROS in the Tonsorial and that is my favorite soap from that line. You make some really awesome soaps Chris!

Great read Pat and Looking forward to your reviews and you can bet after this weeks Train wreck of soaps I will be bringing out the Good stuff, Sunday will be SV's Desert Vetiver

WARNING: VERY LONG POST
This is Day 1 of my recreation experiment of @BarberDave Soap Titan Showdown. The procedure is as follows:
1. Take lid off of soap and set on counter to record strength of scent. Record sos during each pass.
2. Soak brush and shake out excess water using 4 shakes. I did this to try an maintain the same amount of water in the brush each time I load.
3. 20 second load. If SV were a softer soap I would scoop out ¼ teaspoon like I normally do, so instead I will do a 20 second load for each soap.
4. Face lather and add water using medicine dropper. Record amount of water used.
5. Lather face and do a standard WTG pass. Record slickness and cushion.
6. Wet face, re-lather, and do a XTG pass from Left to Right. Record slickness and cushion.
7. Wet face, re-lather, and do a XTG pass from Right to Left. Record slickness and cushion.
8. Wet face, no lather, and clean up to test residual slickness.
9. Post shave lather, rinse, towel dry, and wait 5 minutes to record post-shave feel.
10. Follow up with usual post-shave routine.

This was very fun to do and what a shave it was! Scent strength was strong from the moment I opened the tub to when I rinsed off the post-shave lather. This was very easy to lather. It took the water in the brush, 2.5 mL, the water on my face, and a brush tip dip (on third pass) to build the lather to my usual liking. Slickness was great, but on the second pass I noticed a little drying out at the end so I dipped the brush tips in my water mug and that took care of pass 3. We'll see if I have to do that with the others. Cushion was as great as I remember. Zero blade feel, and very protective. Residual slickness is where I knocked this soap last time, but I may have been a little harsh last time I evaluated this soap. I don't think I can give it 5/5 for residual slickness, but I don't think I will knock it a full point. Post-shave feel without any post-shave products was incredible. My face felt fantastic! I honestly could have gotten away with only using just the soap, but where is the fun in that? I will score each category after a little bit of thought and after using the other soaps, but I am reminded why @Dragonsbeard base became my favorite!

Picture of the products used in the shave. Everything minus the brush was bought by myself. The brush was a generous PIF from Eric and passed on by @Dave in KY.

Tomorrow I will test out CBL Premium Iron Throne using the same procedure.

Thanks for sticking around and reading Cadre! I hope y'all had a great Thursday!
