Today I used the new CBL Tonsorial Master Barber: Steel Grey Fougere for "F" day. This stuff is pretty awesome. It is almost as slick as the Premium base, but has the cushion of the Tonsorial. The scent is really clean. To me, and by no means am I good at describing scents, it smells like wet stone. Just really clean and fresh. The lather took a while to work, but boy was it worth it. It is a little on the thirsty side, but I've noticed that most good soaps are. And that may have been because I added to much water at once, but after working it a while it really came together and provided excellent cushion and slickness. The residual slickness on this stuff is also very nice. Really great job @CBLindsay I look forward to seeing the scents you add to this base.
The anniversary brush is a really nice brush to look at. The handle is a little heavier than I anticipated it to be and I really liked that. The bristles are really soft and the splay isn't horrible, but needs a good amount of pressure. It worked up an awesome lather so it is definitely a keeper!

No update on the homefront. Thank y'all for reading and I hope y'all have a great week! Tomorrow is "G" day!

"G" day is for...you guessed it. Ghost Town Barber! Or as the Dave's say it, GTB baby! I love the scent of this stuff. Recently I have found that there are a few members, who I will not call out, that do not care for this scent. To me this and LNHC Barber Shoppe are what I really consider barbershop scents. The woodsy leathery note is what I think of when I am sitting in a leather barber's chair with leather strops hanging around. Stirling Barbershop is great, but it is very powdery and B&M Seville is top notch, but is very citrus forward. Maybe that's how other barbershop's are around the world.
My wife made fun of me because I literally shaved 10 hours ago and she asked why I was shaving again. My response, "it is Ghost Town Barber day!" Since I shaved last night I decided to limit blade exposure and go with the #1 plate. Honestly this is the most comfortable I've gotten to near BBS. Off to work now and I made sure to apply two splashes so that my coworkers can appreciate this scent as much as I do!

Thanks for reading Cadre, and have a great day!
