CBL's Russian Tea is one on my list for sure!

I've been contemplating watching Bosch for a while now...I hear it's a pretty good show!

Can I suggest the Voskhod blade when using Russian Tea soap. You know, just for thematic sake

Yet another two pass BBS. The razor works well with my face. At 3 it is getting to be about medium-aggressive, but is still milder than many DEs I have used. My face is really smooth and my skin feels great. It would have been a killer shave if not for the skin irritation from the soap.

Gear
This was my first use of Catie's Bubbles ever. The soap is top notch and the scent is great. I have no idea what ingredient reacted with my face, but react it did. So, this one goes on to the PIF pile. I really, really hope that the "Un Jour Gris" doesn't cause my face any problems.

The Ming Shi 3000s is a good but cheap razor. It even came with a plastic storage case that will also fit a tuck of blades.

Other Thoughts
I like having a standing desk at work. Sometimes it feels good to not sit.

Shave Quality
Today's soap is one that I experienced during the OZ Shaving pass-around from our friendly neighborhood @Spider. I also purchased a tub with matching splash, although it is still sitting in my den waiting to be used. So, I feel triple lucky since this is a soap base that I have used before and really, really like, I have two full tubs of it, and I also have the matching splash on hand. When I say two full tubs, I mean two full tubs, this soap was completely unused when @Dagwoodz sent it to me. On to the shave. Today I chased the dolphins. The lather was so great and the razor was working so well that I had to do the third pass. My face is a little tender from that last pass, but I am full-on, heel clicking, BBS. It was the best shave I have had all month. I love the scent of the Tornadic.

Gear
Amazing soap and a great razor. Both of which are reasonably priced. What more can a person ask for?

Other Thoughts
Hoping to get past my current weight plateau soon. I am stuck at 249. We will see how it goes.

Shave Quality
Gotta love Mystic Water. It is a solidly performing soap and a staple of the wet shaving world. Today's lather was rich and slick with great post-shave performance. The Shark SS blade may be degrading. The shave on 5 with the Ming Shi 3000s was a little rougher than previous shaves. I still walked away BBS in two passes and am a very happy shaver today.

Gear
@Dagwoodz has really great taste in soap. Everything that I have tried from his PIF has been amazing, even the things that my face didn't like.

Anyone who is in the market for a low cost adjustable DE should give the 3000s a try. (I posted a pic of it previously.) While the build quality is not the greatest, the performance is really good. But, then again I am a fan of inexpensive Chinese DEs. I get great results from most of them.

Other Thoughts
Yay, weekend! Tomorrow I am playing in a card game tournament for Legend of the Five Rings LCG here in Denver. There are 60+ players registered for the event, and some of them are well known players in the community. I am not sure how much of a chance I have of winning the whole thing, I am just hoping to finish in the top 50% and have a fun day. Wish me luck?

Shave Quality
This one is an interesting one. The scent of hops mixed with citrus was quite different. In the tub it is a bit strong, but once lathered it became very nice. It made for a great shave. The Ralf Aust felt a tiny bit rough. I think the edge is good but just needs a shave or two to smooth out. I went two passes with the Aust and a single cleanup pass with the 3000s. I really can't complain about the shave.

Gear
I took another run at honing today. I ran my ZY and a Shumate from eBay over my stones. I started on the 1K Shapton, then went to the 2k. After the synths I went to the boxed coticule and finished on the SxArk using oil. Hopefully I will have the time in the morning to give one of them a try.

Other Thoughts
I went 3-3 in my tournament. It was an okay showing for me, and I did have fun. The next one will be in June.
