Shave Quality
This was my first time using an A&E product. I am quite impressed. The performance of the soap is definitely elite. The scent is also really great. Two passes with the Genco and a cleanup pass with the 'JECTAH left my face feeling great. I was only DFS+ after the shave but I still felt great. I really enjoyed using this one. The lather was easy to produce and was rich and creamy. I would definitely buy more of this one.

Gear
The edge on the Fluid Steel is great. I am looking forward to using it again.

Other Thoughts
Doing some Spring Cleaning this weekend.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Now that is a great shave Doug! Glad you liked the A&E soap! Peter at A&E makes a damn fine soap!

Shave Quality
This is great shaving cream. It is a bit more strongly scented than I would prefer, but the performance is really, really great. The shave was BBS- and there was a mountain of lather. I used a bit too much of the cream and had enough lather for about 8-9 passes.

Gear
All good.

Other Thoughts
So, I gave in to temptation and bought a few things from @paintflinger's den clearing sale. I also picked up a couple of GD straights from eBay.

The GD66's and the two stones are from @paintflinger. The two GD1996's are from The Bay.

Time to give honing a try.

Just be sure you study up on proper blade geometry so you can check those GDs. My first straight was one and when I tried to hone it I discovered it was an absolute mess in that department. I think I still have it somewhere and if I do may try my hand at altering it. We'll see

You should try one...

Actually, send me your mailing address (I probably had it in my PMs before the upgrade, but lost it). I will send you a sample of the Club & Roses.
So I just realized I have used an A&E soap and completely forgot. @Shavewizard420 sent me a sample of Which One’s Pink and it was pretty good. Some people said the scent was a little funky but I remember it just being powdery, so I liked it lol.

Catching up Doug, nice Mail call C.E.C. approved. Good reads as well, if you need any pointers on honing let me know

Glad to hear you liked the scent of Which Ones Pink? It is a unusual scent and am surpirsed by some of the negative comments twards this scent. although perhaps not for everyone, it certainly is a bit different lol.

Great stuff! Have yet to have a full straight razor shave but people seem to really like those Gold Dollar razors once they are properly honed of course ;) looks like you have quite a few new ones to practice with:)

Shave Quality
The shave was great. Two passes for BBS. The soap base is a top performer. IT produced a very rich and slick lather. I am not sure the scent is one that I would get again, however. It does sell like Dr. Pepper, which is nice, but it is also very sweet smelling. It may be too sweet for frequent use. I will have to try their other scents. Overall it was a very pleasing shave.

Gear
Loving the Silk Smoke knot in my membership brush.

Other Thoughts
Started season 11 of Big Bang Theory. It is still great.
