Shave Quality
Today's shave was the third shave with the LNHC Herb Infused Gentleman's Lavender. This is a nice soap and it doesn't burn me like the Somali Rose, but it isn't a top performer for me. I would put this one in Box 5, so at the top of Tier 2. The slickness is a little lacking as is the post-shave performance, but it is a nice soap overall.

Gear
The .84 Game Changer is a great razor, like the .68 version. I think I like the .68 a little better, but this is definitely a keeper.

The Stirling boar that I got in Josh's PIF is very nice. I think it needs a bit of break-in time, but it is definitely a good knot.

Other Thoughts
The blizzard wasn't too bad. The winds were quite harsh, but the amount of snow wasn't large. Also, the week long training went well. It was an interesting break, but will be nice to get back to work on Monday.

Today's shave should have been good. The Coconut Oud smells great. The soap made an excellent lather. If only it didn't light my face right up. The shave was DFS+. This soap should be a Tier 1 soap, and if it were in a different scent it probably would be.

'JECTAH!!!!!!

Other Thoughts
We saw "Into the Spider-Verse" today at the $5 theater. It was a solidly great movie. Totally Spider-rific! I thought about KJ several times during the movie.

This cream is always a great shave. It works well. It smells good. What is not to like? I walked away BBS- in two passes. It was a good start to my day.

Gear
The GC .84 seems to like the Indian Wilkie better than the Crown SS or the Astra SP. I will revisit those blades later.

Other Thoughts
Monday's shave was a repeat with the 'Jectah, but with KMF for the software. Tuesday was a no-shave day.

There is one thing that I have realized during my break from 3017ing. It is that I get better shaves more often when I am not changing my software up all the time. Maybe the fact that I am using so many new-to-me products is part of the issue. Whatever the cause, I really miss the consistency that comes with using the same software day after day. I have been trying to stretch out the fun of trying all of these new things, but perhaps I need to speed it up my sampling so that I can get started 3017ing it all.

IF (Intermittant Fasting) is going well for me. My pants are starting to get loose and I am at a weight that I haven't been at in over 15 years. Also, I think my taste buds (or something) are changing. I am starting to crave salad greens and fresh fruits and veggies. I don't even want to look at a pizza or a slice of cake. I am really losing interest in those things. Today, for example, I wanted a sweet treat. My first thought was some nice fresh fruit. It didn't even occur to me to look at candy or deserts. The other day I was given a free brownie with some food that I ordered because the delivery was late. I took one look at it and gave it away. I really didn't want to put it in my mouth. I hope that I can keep the weight loss going with IF and keep it off long term. I like the changes that I am experiencing and want them to continue.

Excellent news! We all have our own journeys and it looks like you found yours! Keep up the great work! IF is a great way to heal the body...and yes...weight loss is a type of healing of sorts! Our bodies and metabolism are so complicated that we really don't know what is going on behind the curtain so to speak. Keep doing what is working for you and don't be afraid to change things up a bit! I myself am going to (in the near future here) try a three day extended fast with bone broth, water, and salt only. I know I should do a water and salt fast...but I am working up to that. I find the days that I do just a 24 hour fast (basically don't eat from dinner to dinner) I really do feel pretty good and I drop a few pounds in the process. But like I said...you are doing something really good for yourself! Keep it up!

Well, that sounds just terrible. ;)

That's awesome though that you found something that works for you and sounds like it's really changing your life style in a way that is sustainable.

The .84 GC doesn't seem to like my face much, but maybe I haven't found the right blade for it. The Indian Wilkie isn't too bad.

Proraso is still a win.

Rewatching The Big Bang Theory and loving it.

Well this is getting old...

Another new scent and another burning face. I love Stirling soap. It is a top tier performer for me. However, this scent lit me up. Minus the irritation from the fragrance, the shave was BBS- in two passes.

Gear
So, the Model T has good heft and deep knurling. It feels good in the hand. Both the adjustment and the door control are smooth. There is one issue, however. That issue is uneven blade exposure. It is slight, very slight. But, it means that one side is slightly more aggressive than the other. I will have to see if there is a way to realign the parts, or something. I am not sure if I want to contact Rockwell about this or not. It gave me a good shave on the 1 setting, but there were places where I had to use both sides of the razor to complete the shave. I will probably contact customer support. I am just hesitating because I have waited so long to get this razor and will be really disappointed if I have to send it back.

Other Thoughts
I am really tempted to get the two Stirling scents (Glastonbury, and Port-Au-Prince) that are going on indefinite hiatus. However, I don't want to blow the S-word thing since I am the last one in. Also, at this point I have so much soap that I may never need to buy any ever again.

I will probably be getting sushi for lunch. Yay, Lent. ... EDIT: Perhaps I will go to Wahoo's Fish Tacos instead...

Nice shave and sorry about the dilemma of too much soap :ROFLMAO: Yes a shame on the razor but you want to get it right for sure.

All caught up Doug, great stuff! Nice to see you running through a lot of the PIF items from Josh, the reviews are great. That is a shame about the Rockwell Model T if you have to send it back. My Fatboy is the same way, but that's because one bar was bent and I realigned it with pliers. Obviously it didn't come out perfect lol. It's very minor, but I can tell a slight difference from side to side. I just make it work though.
