Shave Quality
MdC is a really nice soap. It performs well and has a light but pleasant scent. It lathered easily and was plenty slick during the shave. As many have said, it did lack in the post shave department. It was a little drying to my face but that was fixed by the aftershave balm. It is something I could definitely keep around, but it isn't elite. It might even be Tier 2 considering what many artisans are producing these days. The shave was quite enjoyable and I was BBS- afterwards.

Shave Quality
KMF is one of those really great products that doesn't get much attention. It is a solid performer that gives good post shave conditioning. It is widely available to boot. What's not to like? I got a thick, rich lather that left me just about BBS in two passes. It was a really great shave for a day when I didn't have much time to devote to the task.
Gear
The Rubin even at 8 is still milder than I really like. It is an interesting shaver, however.
Other Thoughts
Yay, weekend.
Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.
