Overview
A couple of really good shaves.

Shave Quality
The Treet Silver wasn't great with the R5 plate. The Crown SS was better. The Stubble Buster is performing really well. Today it loaded much differently. I used a drier brush and the soap came up in a thick paste. It then made a thick and wonderful lather. The shave was BBS and felt absolutely great.

Gear
I like the Stubble Buster very much. It performs
much like the CFG, however the scents are lighter and more cologne-like. CFG's scents are bold, interesting, and unique. The SB ones are lighter and less distinct. I quite like them.

Other Thoughts
So, we bought a new washer and dryer tonight. I think we got a good deal and the LOTH seems happy with the transaction.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Yup...if the missus is happy then you should be happy! Hope the new washer and dryer work out!

'Jectah FTW.

Shave Quality
A really good shave with the J-Type Injector. I used a bit too much pressure, however. There was no blood, but I did leave my face a bit tender. DFS+ in two passes.

Gear
I don't think the Stubble Buster will make it into the Elite category. It is a little lacking in post-shave performance when compared to products like CBL.

Other Thoughts
It was a pretty good Sunday. Played Betrayal at House on the Hill (https://avalonhill.wizards.com/avalon-hill-betrayal-house-hill) for the first time today. It is a great game.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

I have been hearing some buzz about that game from another forum I read occasionally but never post. How is the replayability on that game?

There are around 50 different options for the "Haunting" phase of the game, which is the end phase, so there should be lots of replayability in the core box.

Another great Rockwell shave

Shave Quality
The R6 plate was a bit rough today during the shave, but it left me with a very nice shave. I would call it BBS-. Also, I am glad that this 3017 is finally going well for me. The Stubble Buster is really great stuff.

Gear
All good today.

Other Thoughts
Will they show up this week? We shall see.

A mild Ming Shi morning.

Shave Quality
I decided to try something new this morning. I had not yet tried the Ming Shi DE blades. So, I pulled out one of my Ming Shi 2000s and set it to 1 for the shave. The lather was great. It only took a couple of seconds to get a thick paste from the puck on my brush. That was easily worked into a thick, cushion-y lather. The razor was very mild. Two passes, with a bit of buffing, got me to that near BBS feeling. It was two passes of wonderful shaving.

Gear
The Ming Shi blade worked well in the Ming Shi razor at the lowest setting. We shall see how subsequent shaves at higher settings work.

Other Thoughts
Still in transit... I hope the boxes get here soon... I always worry that something is going to happen in transit. Yes, I am a bit paranoid.

I am looking forward to trying all the new stuff. Although, having to decide every day what product to use will complicate my life a bit. That is not a complaint, just a statement of fact. 3017ing does make life a little more simple. Change is good, however, so I will be changing it up daily, or almost daily, for a while.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

I know what you mean about worry over deliveries Doug! It’s a bit stressful! My major worry is the that whatever random delivery person we have for the day (they seems to rotate a lot) has about a 40/60 chance of being lazy and leaving the box in plain sight.

Doug's going to take his first day off from the new job when the tracking # says out for delivery.

Speeding through this 3017.

Shave Quality
Another great shave with the Stubble Buster and the Ming Shi combo. Two passes for BBS with almost zero lasting irritation. Today was a great shaving day. I weighed the tub after today's shave and was quite amazed. It is at 114 grams. It started at 174 grams, IIRC. I have managed to use 60 grams of soap in 8 shaves!?!?!?!? That is 7.5 grams of soap per shave and I am not even trying to hate load it. I would feel that this is a wasteful amount of soap, except the shave performance is superior. So, I guess, "sorry, not sorry"??

Gear
All is well.

Other Thoughts
The Sherlock PIF is in the mail. I hope that it works better for Tim than it did for me.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Life’s too short to add worry to it. It’ll get here when it gets here.

As as far as choosing a different product for each shave..... welcome to Shaving freedom!
