Doug's Journal of Shaving Happiness v2.0

Nice shave and good review of the Stubble Buster. At that price point, I will definitely give it a try.

Shave Quality
The lather was great, but the Baili blade roughed me up some and left me with a couple of tiny red spots. Because of the irritation and the fluid loss, I am going to call it DFS.

Gear
I think the Baili doesn't like the R4 plate.

Other Thoughts
Ugh, my washer started knocking tonight. It looks like I will be buying new appliances soon.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Thanks for letting me know! I love having my own section in Doug’s journal!

Hope the washer issue was just a fluke for tonight!

If you got 16 years out of a washer and dryer, you definitely got your money’s worth!

Bummer about the irritation, but the Stubble Buster sounds like a winner. I’ll have to search some out eventually.

Whoo hooo, new stuff! My wife really wants a new washer/dryer, but ours keeps going so it's hard to justify. I want a fridge with ice and water in the door. She says no.

Exact same senario here
How do they NOT understand the pure joy of those ice cubes getting all ground up and spit out right into your glass??? And then, AND THEN! Water shooting right out of the door!?!?! Sigh....

Had one in Knoxville but it stayed when I sold the house. Want one now with a bottom drawer freezer......... someday

I just want a house with a nicely finished basement. Long standing dream of mine...but for some reason the fact that it would cost at least half our current house value to do it keeps dissuading the missus. Not sure why, it pales in comparison to the cool factor.

Never had the the Ice Maker and Water thiga ma jig. Yet always wanted one.

They one we have now has the freezer on the bottom. Total game changer.

Yeah if I ever get me a finished basement I want to put an old vintage porcelain urinal in the bathroom down there. Right now all I have room for in the apartment is a chamber pot.. Just isn' t the same.

Nice read Doug. Sorry about the appliance issue. But getting them to go 16 years isn't bad at all.

As to the other commenters. Ice/water in the door is AWESOME!!! I do want to upgrade to the freezer on bottom though. There are some neat ones with cooling trays too.

\\nI keep telling the wife if I can find the right old urinal, I\\\'m hanging one in my shop on the wall and run a drain thru the wall onto the grass ?

Ya'll are living in the fast lane without even time to sit down. Whooooweeeee

Yeah... About that... She is most definitely NOT happy with this. While 16 years is a good run, she is definitely not happy about the sudden expense. Had there been some more warning so she could have some time to budget and prepare, she wouldn't be so unhappy about the situation. Because she is stressing about it, I am also not happy.

And that doesn't take into account the fact that the current ones were wedding gifts.

Gotcha, not a good time to tell her about buying the Rx ?
