Shave Quality
The lather was really, really good today. The Timor blade is still good, but it is not be
tter than many of the cheaper blades out there. The MJ-90 is still a really great piece of hardware. All of it came together to leave me BBS- as I headed out the door for day two.
Gear
If you like the EJ DE89 style razor, definitely get one of the RR MJ-90s. It is a very well made, mild razor that gives excellent results. It also has the benefit of coming with a second, more aggressive, base plate. It is definitely worth the price of admission.
Other Thoughts
I think this is going to be a great place for me. There is a ton that I have to learn and I won't have much time to keep up with TSC for a while, but I definitely made the right move in coming here.

I haven’t had good luck with the Personna Platinums in any of the 3 razors I’ve paired them with. We just don’t get along.
Can't ask for anything better than that!

The blade is smoothing out and while today's shave felt a bit rough, it didn't leave me with extra irritation. The PAA once again gave great lather. I was BBS- most of the day.
Gear
The 6C is good stuff. It seems to like the Israeli Personna.
Other Thoughts
Other than the problems with my work laptop, it was a great first week at the new job. I think this is a place where I could be happy long-term.

Shave Quality
The lather was great. The blade was new. And the razor was something I have never used before. I am BBS after two passes, but those passes were super irritating. The head of the TImeless is one of the heaviest I have used. No fluids were sacrificed to the razor, but the razor burn is lasting.
Gear
This Timeless has lots of blade feel, as others have mentioned. It is also one of the heaviest heads that I have used. My Rocnel Model P SE is heavier, but only by 8 grams. This is definitely not a razor for a newbie. I didn't get nicked, but the razor felt like it wanted to bite the whole time. Normally I would just let gravity do all the work with a heavy razor like this one, but that was a bad plan today. This thing needs to be carefully controlled during the shave. The level of aggression was a bit surprising.
Other Thoughts
The humidifier that we bought last week is really starting to help. Denver is amazingly dry around this time of year.

Sorry to hear you got "bit" by the agression, some razors have that feeling reguardless of which soap is used. On a positive note, At least there was no blood loss.

It is easy to get the angle wrong with this razor, but when the angle is right the shave is really great. Today there was much less irritation, but I could easily tell when my angle was slipping. Great lather and a great shave. BBS.

The Timeless works well with the Parker blades.
