I really like the look of that barberpole handle by RR. And you can’t beat $3 for a NIB brush. Even if it fell apart when you picked it up, $3 would’ve been worth the funny story!

Thanks! It is one of my best wild finds. It was NIB and cost me a whole $3. I have had some insane luck in antique stores when searching for shave gear.

I'm glad someone else has good luck out there. I almost feel bad when I talk about how good the Antique store are around here, and then folks chime in and say they never find anything....... almost.

I have had lots of outings that turned up nothing, or nothing worth the asking price. But, if I keep my eyes open and ask the right questions, I can usually find a couple of good scores.

Shave Quality
Another stellar Tabac shave. I am getting to the end of the puck. The ring of death has not shown up yet, but it will soon. This soap has really gone fast. Today's shave was two passes worth of wonderful rich and slick lather. I am still BBS- 8+ hours later. Happy shaves, Happy days.

Other Thoughts
It is really awesome that Dave of the Nurse clan liked the razor I sent him. It was really fun watching him shave with it.

I took today off from work and really had a good time. I got a bit of work done at home and even had a nice nap.

Shave Quality
It has been a while since I had a straight shave so I pulled out the Torrey for a go round. The lather was great. I went for three passes and there was no blood. I even did a cleanup pass with the Game Changer. However, four passes was just too much and I still came out of it BBS-. I have not had this much razor burn in a long time. Ouch. Ouch. Red splotchy face. Ouch.

Gear
The Torrey is great steel. I just need to use it more often.

The Semogue 1305 is a great brush, but I still like the SOC more.

Other Thoughts
It has been a nice lazy Saturday.

Today I am BBS with only a slight amount of tenderness remaining from my straight shave this weekend. Overall my face feels really good. Just a really great shave today.

This!!! I still do. Not sure why either...but I love that slightly sore feeling in my gums and teeth after they clean them. Oh man it's some good stuff. Even if they have to do some work...I just love going there.
