Overview
I wanted to do another shave with the Will-O-The-Wisp, but yesterday's irritation and the resulting grumpiness deterred me.

Shave Quality
Back on the 3017 horse today. The Made Rite whipped up a decent lather. I have gotten better lathers from my synthetics than I got today, but that could be due to not loading enough product. Also, there is still some badger funk in the knot. There was nothing improper about the lather, but it didn't build as quickly as I am used to and the Tabac-y goodness was overshadowed by badger funk. The RR GC really delivered, however. It is smooth, mild, and efficient. I am BBS- from two passes and really feeling good.
Gear
The Made Rite has a nice handle. It feels a bit too big in my hand, but it is well made. The knot is very soft and floppy. It feels kind of like a pillow against my cheek, which is not bad, but I like a bit more backbone to my brushes. I feel like I have to be gentle with this one. It is a fun vintage experience, however.
The RR Game Changer is good stuff. The Barberpole handle has a positive grip with good knurling. The head is mild with low blade feel. It is a high quality piece of shave gear. It also has good heft. I really like it. I think I am going to be using this one often and will be getting the .84 plate for it.
Other Thoughts
I may see if I can find a few more NOS badger brushes. I don't really care for vintage boar, but vintage badger is nice even if it is too floppy.
Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.
