Doug's Journal of Shaving Happiness v2.0

My compromise would be to 3017 Mon-Fri, then allow yourself the weekend to try new soaps or use forgotten/unloved soaps.

I have considered allowing myself a "3017 cheat day" every week, but the desire to see the bottom of the container really does push me to keep going.

I have found the perfect solution to all this. You send me all the tubs you're not using. I'll use them and post about them. Then they aren't being neglected, you can read about experiencing them and you're still able to 3017 one as fast as possible.

I volunteer as tribute to share this burden!

There for awhile I was doing every other day. To allow for variety. I think I might go back to that after October. But we shall see. Too much soap and too little time!

My beard growth is slow and light. (I have blonde hair.) I also have a baby face. So, I can easily get away with not shaving for two days before other people, besides my wife, will notice.

For me, shaving twice a day would only be a waste of lather and an invitation to Murphy.

Shave Quality
The shave was two passes of slick shaving. I walked away just short of BBS. The lather started out way, way too wet. I had to dump out a bit of liquid and load some more soap to get it to whip up. This left me with a very wet, very slick lather. The alum was more quiet than usual today, which made me happy.

Gear
I am still in love with Tabac. It is one of the best soaps that I have ever used.

The PAA DOC Ascension at a more aggressive setting with the Parker blade made for a smooth and efficient shave.

Other Thoughts
Started watching American Horror Story: Cult last night after finishing Haunting of Hill House. Hill House finished well, but a little more sappy than I care for. Episode one of AHS was good.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

I am not a big horror fan. Walking Dead is about as far as I go. But you guys are getting me curious.

Today's BBS lasted a long time. In fact I am still DFS+ at the end of the day. The lather was slick, wet, and thick. The razor did its job very well. Tabac is still wonderfully Tabacalicious.

No complaints here. But it may be time to switch up my brush.

Other Thoughts
Today was a bad day at work. While I want to comment about it, I probably shouldn't.
