Shave Quality
This is another one that takes a light touch. I went a bit faster today than I perhaps should have. I still got a great shave, but had I had time to go slower I would have had a bit less irritation and had a closer shave. It was still great but more like DFS+.

Gear
Shovelheads are really fun.

Other Thoughts
Started watching Westworld. It is good stuff.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Great Injector info! The first one I had was an E3. Then I got the I1. I like the I1 model much, much better!

BTW, what blades are you using with your shovelhead? I was PIF'd my shovelhead a couple of years ago, and I'm out of the blades that came with them. Then I bought some online, and they were horrible!

I think Ted Pella’s are about the best you can find. Personnas are nice, but usually more expensive.

Catching up Doug!
Aside from a couple of subpar blade trials great shaves!

I got some vintage Treet SE blades on the Bay a while ago that are really great. I also use the PTFE GEM blades from Ted Pella, which are the best modern GEM blades.

Look for "Single Edge, PTFE-Coated, Stainless Steel Blades" on TedPella.com. They sell them in boxes of 200.

Nice stuff Doug! I have to break out my GEM Jr. sometime in the near future...just for some variety! Not my favorite shaver, but they can get you real close!

Getting caught up Doug. Nice go with the SE shaves. I will be using some here soon as well!

No shave. Those Treet SE blades are carbon steel, not stainless. Oops. That blade had some hardcore rust on it. And I was out of town with only one blade for the weekend. You live, you learn.

Shave Quality
Today's shave was really close and a bit more irritating than I was expecting. The vintage Ever-Ready got me to almost BBS but gave me a small nick and some irritation which has taken quite a while to disappear. I do love the shaves that I get from GEMs and Injectors. They do require focus and a light touch.

Gear
I love GEM style razors. I need to get some of the modern versions.

Other Thoughts
It was a nice relaxing weekend at my in-laws house.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Bummer about the blade on the trip!
Bummer about the nick and irritation today too!

Glad you had a relaxing trip!

Another good SE shave, even if it was a bit closer than was comfortable. I have a feeling that a GEM razor will be coming up soon the more you use these!
