Shave Quality
It was a good shave with some some residual neck irritation. Great lather and all.

Gear
The OLD Type is a joy to use.

Other Thoughts
Buying all 5 seasons of Leverage on DVD was money well spent.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Nice one Doug! I have yet to try an OLD or NEW, but since I primarily shave with SR's, there really has never been a big urge to get one. I've been close on occasion, however.

Shave Quality
Good lather. No blood. DFS+ in two passes with the usual neck irritation.

I am still looking for the proper technique for my neck. I hope I can get it down before too long.

Gear
Clubman Vanilla is great juice. The scent is much more than just vanilla. Really great stuff.

Other Thoughts
Work has been really busy lately. Things may be getting less frustrating. We shall see. However, I probably will continue to have little time to devote to the forums for a while. I am still reading your posts, Cadre. I just don't have much time to respond. I hope that changes.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Nice entry Doug...hopefully you're able to figure out the neck sooner than later. Glad to hear that the frustration level will hopefully be toning down.

Good stuff Doug! I wouldn't worry too much about the neck...I've been doing this for about four years and I still have no clue on how to get a BBS shave on my neck. I think some of us were just never meant to have a smooth neck .

Razor: Harry's Razor
Blade: Harry's Cartridge (1)
Brush: Omega 49 Pro boar
Soap/Cream: AOS Eucalyptus Cream (7)
AS 1: Thayer's Rose Witch Hazel
AS 2: Nivea Cooling Post Shave Balm
AS 3: Lucky Tiger AS & Face Tonic
Fragrance: Primitive Man (Sauvage clone)

Overview
A Cvargo inspired shave.

Shave Quality
The AOS lather was really good, but I made it a bit wetter than I usually do. It was still a BBS day. The only problem was the burning irritation all over that I experienced for quite a while after completing the shave.

Chad's adventures with the Mach3 heightened my curiosity about some of the modern multi-blade monstrosities, so I picked up a Harry's razor. It gave a really good shave. However, I think something in the lube strip didn't agree with my face. All in all it turns out that it is a good shaving tool, but the carts are still too expensive for regular use.

The Primitive Man smells great. I might need to pick up a bottle of the real thing.

Other Thoughts
Enjoying a rainy evening.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

I tried the Harry’s once. Didn’t work for me. Irritation central. Too many blades!!!!

Kudos for throwing your hat into the ring and giving the cart a try! I think you pretty much summed up everyone’s thoughts though!

"Good" cart shave Doug. Interested in the Primitive Man fragrance you used. What house makes that clone?

We just got back from scent shopping and Sauvage was one I came home with a sample of. Good juice.

Good lather and a sharp blade made for a nice BBS- with minimal irritation.
