Doug's Journal of Shaving Happiness v2.0

Would you like a refill of the Oceana? I have a tub about 75% remaining. Are you going to 3017 another or going to variety now?

Well fought Doug!

Just remember...if your down to dregs of a soap and having load issues, squirt a bit of a cream in there! That’s how I finished out my TOBS when the same thing happened, just a pinch of Proraso Green to help it.

Let's call it DFS-. The lather was good, but the razor didn't want to glide. There was only a very tiny nick. Overall it was a decent shave.

Gear
The Saiver razor is interesting. It can take one or two blades. However, it seems to need a wetter lather in order to not skip and drag. It will require more experimentation.

Other Thoughts
I am thinking that my next 3017 will be the AOS Eucalyptus.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

A lot of sandalwood love going on in the Cadre right now! Sorry for the skipping and dragging. While Voskhod blades are not my favorite...they are up there. Mostly because I think they are super smooth. Definitely not the sharpest...but nice and smooth. Sorry your shave was not.

DSBBSG FTW! The AOS lather was thick, rich, and hella slick. It also smelled great! The razor, with the second blade removed, worked like a champ. I went for three passes and walked away with just a bare hint of irritation that was gone within minutes. This was a killer shave. The Osage Rub really left me feeling refreshed.

Gear
The Saiver razor is definitely better with only one blade installed. The materials are cheap, but the razor performs.

Other Thoughts
The AOS Eucalyptus was a good choice.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.
