Doug's Journal of Shaving Happiness v2.0

Nice shave Doug. I never get a decent shave from a feather. Too harsh for me. We were going to see Incredibles 2 the other night but after errands opted to come home and do another night. I then ordered the the first to have and watch again before going since it's been awhile. Hope you both enjoy the movie and your evening.

Good shave Doug!

Enjoy the movie. My wife and I have also not seen it yet unfortunately; even our kids saw it with the grandparents already, and they only grew up with the first one because we have it on DVD!

Hmmm good idea. My wife is the only one in the family to not see the first one. Tonight maybe that should be taken care of.

The Incredibles 2 is still on my short list...and I don't have kids! At least none that I know about...?

Overview
Maybe Feathers aren't a good blade for me?

Shave Quality
Today I decided to stay with the Feather in one of my Techs to see if I could get less irritating shave. If anything it was more irritating. The blade got me to near BBS, but I have some lasting irritation.

Gear
The Feather was quite ouchy today.

Other Thoughts
The movie was great last night.

This morning I got on the elliptical machine for the first time in months. I am really need to make this a habit.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Feather DE blades are all over the place for me. It seems it take 4-5 rough shaves to finally get a comfortable shave.

Way to go on the elliptical.

Different strokes for different folks. See what I did there? Just like all blades. Feathers are my go to most of the time, but I also know they can bite folks. Especially those that use skin stretching with a DE.

We had an elliptical, it worked really well for holding our coats for us.

I actually love the elliptical. If I had one at home in front of the TV...I would likely spend an hour on it or more each day! But at the gym it kind of sucks. You are just there, maybe listening to your headphones, but kind of doing nothing. But like I said...if I had one at home!

I have yet to have a good experience with a DE Feather blade. It might be time to give them another shot, since it's been almost 2 years since I've tried. Great job hopping on the elliptical. I really enjoyed using the one we have at work, and have kicked around the idea of picking one up for home. It's one of the few pieces of cardio equipment I can use that are not hard on my knees.

Overview
My first shavette shave in quite a while. It was a bit rough.

I think it was the Shark blade. Those aren't the best on my face. I made two passes with the SRX with some irritation and one pin-prick of a nick. I made one pass with the Tech for DFS+. Overall, not a horrible shave. I was mostly trying not to gash my face open with the shavette.

Gear
I think I prefer the SOC to the 1305, but they are both excellent boars.

Other Thoughts
Sometimes a day where you do absolutely nothing is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Shark blades are notorious for being just rough. I would try again with a different blade.

Way to seize the day and shave with a shavette attempt. Glad it ended decently!

Have a great day Doug.

Nice couple of shaves Doug! Good job on the shavette, even if the blade wasn't the smoothest out there.

Yes I'm catching up again!

Great shaves (sans the last one) Doug!

Shark blades don't rank high on my list!

Feathers work great for me, one of my top 5 YMMV.

Good stuff Doug. I really enjoy the Nacet blades.

Also when making salsa and using habaneros and jalapenos WASH your hands BEFORE and AFTER going to the bathroom. Don't ask me how I know this.
I might add not just when making salsa. If making anything with large quantities of peppers, or any quantity for that matter, I suggest wearing rubber gloves and be sure to take them off before taking taking care of business.

I actually washed my hands!

I was making pepper poppers for a work event, I had cut up and hulled about 100 jalapenos, I still got the "experience"!

A shave with two of my new acquisitions.

Shave Quality
The shave was a bit irritating, but mostly good. I am not sure if it was the blade or the brush. The irritation didn't last long and I came away DFS+.

Gear
The PAL worked great. It is a fabulous Injector.

The Made RIte brush worked well. It made a lighter lather than I am used to, but it was good. I shampooed the brush once before using it, but didn't quite get all the funk out of it.

Other Thoughts
Ant-Man and the Wasp was really good.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.
