I really screwed up on my neck today. It has been on fire all damn day. The lather was good, but that didn't help.

Gear
The Slim is great, but not when I screw it up.

Other Thoughts
Saw Ocean's 8 last night. It was a fun movie.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Sorry to hear about the irritation Doug...we all have those days. The good thing is it just re-enforces the concepts that we sometimes take for granted, as you pointed out in your overview!

Ohh! Sorry Doug for the bad shave. I hope it wasn't the shave! It looks like you got a good one in the first try of the sample, and then downhill from there. Sorry buddy!

I was rushed this morning and my neck suffered a bit because of it. I gave myself some irritation around my Adam's Apple. It has lasted all day. It was a decent DFS shave otherwise.

Gear
the MMOC needs a bit of extra care on facial angles.

Other Thoughts
It was a pretty good weekend.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Doug I read your first entry and the last page. Gonna take awhile to catch up on reading everyones journals, but enjoying it. Nice goal for shave every day and your nearly half way. Keep it going !!

Proraso Red is some good stuff!

Bummer about the burn, but good shave else wise!

Sorry to hear about the irritation around the AA Doug. Hopefully it's not lingering into today to enable a better shave!

We all do it from time to time...but with a razor to your neck...it's best to pay attention! I'm sure you will be healed up in no time!

I have been experiencing a little bit of neck irritation lately too. I think it is because of the heat, but I don't know. Nice shave otherwise. At least using the Proraso Red you know it isn't the soap!

Shave Quality
I had some time this morning, so I took my time and tried to focus on technique with what is perhaps the best DE & blade combination out there. The lather was thick, creamy, and protective. It was perhaps the best lather that I have had with the Latha so far. The shave was two passes of joy with zero alum feedback post-shave for a solid BBS. Today I am winning.

Gear
Astra SP is perhaps the best all-around blade available today.

Other Thoughts
I weighed the Latha puck last night. I hadn't used it in a couple of days, so it probably had dried out a bit. The tub came in at 124 grams from a start of 152. So that means I am averaging 1.55 grams per shave. I will need to work on that if I want to get this tub finished quickly. If I keep going at this rate it will be 80 more shaves before the tub is empty.

I was feeling the need for some "retail therapy" last night, so I placed a couple of orders. Since GTB seems to be the official unofficial fragrance of TSC I ordered the set. This will be my first CF product. I hope it lives up to the hype for me. I also finally pulled the trigger on something I have been wanting for some time now, a Muhle R41. It should be arriving on Wednesday.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Glad you’re back on a roll!

Fun buys, looking forward to seeing how you like them!
