Shave Quality
Today's shave was almost as good as yesterday's. Although my face is a tiny bit tender in a couple of spots, it was overall very nice. BBS FTW.

Gear
  • Hardware is good.
  • Software is good.
  • Canoe and Clubman are very similar scents that are very complimentary.

Other Thoughts
The snow has arrived. Let's see just how much we get.

  • I really like the Game Changer.
  • The Precious Liquid Vanilla Orchid is a very pretty and soft fragrance. I like it very much, but it definitely isn't the traditional masculine fragrance.

Other Thoughts
The Zoom call tonight was fun. It got me thinking about honing again.

Shave Quality
Today's shave was really good and BBS except for the edges of my jaw where it meets my neck. Overall a fantastic shave

Gear
  • RR Game Changer is a solid shaver. I don't like how the blade is held in the razor because that makes it a tad awkward to install the blade, but it is hard to beat the shave performance.
  • Russian razor blades have always been winners for me. I wonder how hard it is going to be to get blades with all the war sanctions? (Not that I will ever need to buy blades again.)
  • Tahitian Waters is one of the better fragrances by English Laundry.

Other Thoughts
Last night I lapped 5 of my 6 Arkansas stones. My Primitive Trans Ark from Dan's and my Surgical Black from Best Sharpening now both sport a mirror finish. (I also have a Surgical Black from Dan's that has been polished previously.) My soft, hard, and soft/hard combo stones should be suitably flat as well. Now I need to try taking one of my Gold Dollar 66s from bevel set to shaving with just Arkansas stones. I hope the results are good.

Shave Quality
I need to get my straights out more often. The shave was good, but a bit rough on my neck and DFS all over. The edge on my Ralf Aust also might need some touching up.

Gear
  • Ralf Aust makes a good piece of steel.
  • Serge Lutens Fleurs d'oranger is a female targeted fragrance, but it is one of the best smelling ones that I have. I love the smell of orange flowers. This one smells great on me.

Other Thoughts
My last day at my old employer was a non-event. It was a nice quiet day. There was no going away party, but I didn't really want one. I am really looking forward to starting at my new gig.

I really need to spend more time with my straights, both using and honing them.

Shave Quality
The shave from the Dovo Shavette was so good that I didn't need a shave when I got up this morning. It was one of the best shaves that I have had in 2022.

Gear
  • The Dovo Shavette with the Dovo blades is a great shaver. I need to get more of the blades. I only have 30.
  • Prada Luna Rossa Black is a killer fragrance.
  • Dunhill for men is so good. It smells like a very nice bar of soap.

Other Thoughts
Tomorrow is my first day at the new gig. I am really looking forward to it. There will probably be lots of long hours for the first 6-12 months, but that is the startup life. It should be great.

Shave Quality
Today's shave was excellent. I wasn't able to shave yesterday and I always get a much better and longer lasting shave when coming off of a skip day. BBS FTW.

Gear
  • The RR MJ-90 is a very nice razor that gives great results. (Italian Barber only sells the "A" model now. I have the original with both base plates.)
  • Strike Gold Shave Kennedy smells great, just like a 1960's male would.
  • Azzaro Chrome Legend is good. It is watery, a little fruity, and sweet with a very nice tea note. Nothing too special, but a very pleasant wear.

Other Thoughts
Starting to dig in and get my hands dirty at work. Loving it.
I am learning a new tool that is actually kind of fun to use. JavaScript End to End Testing Framework
