Shave Quality
Yesterday's shave was really good. The AS-D2 worked like a champ. Nothing but smooth sailing to BBS. I didn't sleep well last night, so I decided to forego the shave today. Besides my skin is feeling really dry today.

Gear
  • This badger brush is large and in charge. Chubby doesn't even begin to describe it. 30mm is really too big, but it is fun to use.
  • The rest of the hardware is great.
  • Soap and the other software are working their magic.
  • The Uomo line from Salvatore Ferragamo is one of the best lines of designer fragrances that I have used. All four are excellent.

Other Thoughts
I guess change is inevitable and it needs to be embraced. Adjustments will be made.

Shave Quality
The Fatboy with a Gillette blade works very well for me. BBS two days in a row with no irritation. Feeling good and smelling good.

Gear
  • The Fatboy rocks
  • Gillette Platinum are one of the best blades ever on my face.
  • All good in the software department.
  • Both of the fragrances are top notch. Bowling Green is especially good.

Other Thoughts
Overall it has been a good week so far. Now I need to figure out what to do for D&D moving forward.

Shave Quality
The days that I did shave were great shaving days. My face did need those days off, however. Yesterday and today were both BBS and quite nice. Although, the Red Tip did leave my neck a little tender.

Gear
  • It's all good! BTW, I love Eternity. Great fragrance. F Black is equally good.

Other Thoughts
I just have a ton going on right now and am having a hard time juggling it all. That will change. But, at least this weekend I was able to get a new crochet project started with some really good progress.

My wife and I found out this morning that Dave Chappelle is doing some surprise shows in Dever at the Comedy Works. Tickets for tomorrow night have been purchased. This should be good.

Shave Quality
The shave with the Piccolo and the 7O'Clock Green was a little rough. My neck was left tender and I nicked my chin a tiny bit. When I swapped out that blade for the Platinum Strangelet things improved quite a bit. It probably also helped that it was the second shave in a row with the Piccolo. Skip days kinda suck, but sometimes they are necessary.

Gear
  • The Fatip Piccolo is a fabulous 3-piece DE. It is worth more than the ~$20 USD that you will pay for it.
  • For the most part I think my face prefers Platinum blades.
  • Strike Gold Rushmore is a very nice scent.
  • I love my fragrances. They all are wonderful this week.

Other Thoughts
Dave Chappelle was absolutely hilarious. The show was really expensive, but it was worth it.

Saw my doctor on Wednesday. Good news and bad news. For the first time in over a decade my blood sugar, both Fasting Glucose and A1C are completely normal. My doctor is very happy about that. The bad news is my blood pressure is out of whack. (This is a problem for many Americans as we come out of the Pandemic. Most of us became even more sedentary over the last couple of years.) I have a ton of work to do. First step is getting up each morning and going over to the fitness room in the clubhouse of my townhome complex to get on the elliptical. Hopefully this will get me most of the way there. I will also probably need to cut down on salt and caffeine, but I am going for one change at a time. I am going to give the exercise regimen a week or two and we'll see what changes. I have worked hard to get my weight down and fix my blood sugar problems. This is just one more problem to fix, and I will do it.

I like using the elliptical. I just really don't like having to walk over to the clubhouse to use it. Also, there is only one in the fitness room, so it is not guaranteed to be free when I want to use it.

I don't really have space for a full sized one in my house, but there are some space saving models on the market so I am investigating.

Shave Quality
Three good shaves in a row. Low irritation all three times. The bottom of the Rushmore tub started poking through the soap today. This one is going fast.

Gear
  • The RR Mission is okay. It shaves kinda like an EJ DE89. The head is pot metal on a stainless handle. I might toss the head and keep the handle.
  • The Phoenix Shaving blade is quite good.
  • I am really trying to get through as many partial tubs of soap as I can this year.
  • A&F Fragrances are okay. Zegna Uomo is a violet leaf bomb.

Other Thoughts
Day 5 in a row on the elliptical. Today was a bit easier than the others were. Starting to feel a little bit better. I think this is going to help me get my blood pressure back on track. I might even invest in an elliptical for the house. I like how I am feeling.

Tomorrow is our first day back in the office. Should be interesting.
