Shave Quality
My face is still a little tender from yesterday, but I still had a good shave. I didn't make the tenderness any worse.

Gear
  • The Supply SE is fantastic. I need to write a review.
  • Strike Gold Shave makes wonderful shave soaps. I need to try some of their newer stuff.
  • Terra is a nice fragrance, but go easy on the sprays because it will project. It smells very much like Versace Eros, nice but far from unique.

Other Thoughts
The day started out good. It isn't finishing that way. I am unhappy with work right now. Hopefully I can change that.

Shave Quality
My face is improving and so is my technique with the Supply SE. This razor really doesn't need much blade buffing. It doesn't feel like it is doing much, but it really is. Today's shave was BBS with very little after burn.

Gear
  • I am not sure if the Supply SE is quite the "straight on a stick" like many vintage Injectors are, but it is darn close.
  • Strike Gold Shave FTW.
  • I need to find a good splash from my stash to go with this soap. I don't have a bottle of the matching AS.
  • Michael Kors for Men is quite good. Woody and leathery. It is missing a hint of tobacco to really round it out, but I can't hold that against this very good fragrance.

Other Thoughts
Today is starting out okay. I still have a fight ahead of me at work, and that sucks, but we'll see how it shakes out. I know in my gut what is probably going to happen, since QA always gets the short end of the stick in any IT organization, but I could be wrong this time.

Snow again today. It is supposed to get heavy, so I probably won't be going out anyway. Still, I am going to have a rapid test to see if I am over this enough to be around my friends. I want to go hang with people after yesterday, but it is looking like a no-go.

EDIT: Also, the Zoom call last night was wonderful. I really needed that pick-me-up.

Shave Quality
I need to give the Supply Pro a try, but I wanted to give the SE one more shave, and it was a good one. The Japanese blades are sharp and smooth, so repeated strokes, or blade buffing, are less necessary. I was BBS after two very nice and smooth passes.

Gear

  • Supply SE rocks. I love my DEs, but Injectors often give a better shave with less fuss.
  • The Supply Black Label blades might just be better than the Chinese Schick blades, or the Schick Proline blades. I will have to compare them in vintage Injectors to find out.
  • The Strike Gold Shave is really doing well on my face. It is slick with lots of cushion. I really can't complain about it. In fact, I am very pleased with it.
  • Extreme Sky is better than Extreme Speed, but it might be too light when compared to other fragrance lines.

Other Thoughts
Yay, Friday!

I am starting to feel healthy again. Yay. Now it is time to start getting my gaming life back into gear. I have two characters that I need to make. One for Kyle's D&D game, one for my friend Brian's D&D game (he is running Curse of Strahd). I also need to prep my in-person game of Masks: A New Generation (Masks) which, once I am ready, will run opposite Brian's game. I also need to do some game prep for my TSC D&D game. I am not sure, yet, where to go once the current adventure finishes. I will think of something horib... I mean awesome for my players. Then there is the need to prep some one-shot games for Tacticon Colorado 2022 which is on Labor Day weekend. And that is just the RPG part of my gaming life. I have a ton of work to do.

I also need to find time to finish the afghan that I am currently crocheting (and close to finishing) and make the other two that I have planned. I also need to get some work done on the cardigan that I am knitting and get a few pairs of socks knit as well. I have multiple years worth of yarn projects in my backlog. I will work on the afghan tonight which I watch some Bosch on Amazon, I think.

Shave Quality
Had my first shave with the Supply Pro today. I left it set to 1. The razor gave me a really great shave. It was a smooth, mild, and bloodless BBS. Nothing to complain about here.

Gear
  • The Supply Pro is great at setting #1. We will see what the higher settings are like.
  • This Strike Gold Shave is still a winner. It doesn't have the new, weird butters that many artisans are using. I like it. I hope they didn't change their formula in their new products.
  • Extreme Night might be my favorite Michael Kors flanker.

Other Thoughts
Having a lazy Saturday.

The two new Supply Co Razors look to be winners - it is a great company with great customer support and a fantastic product. Glad your getting back into the swing of things Doug!

Shave Quality
Yesterday's shave was good, but about as aggressive as a G-Type, or maybe even an E-Type, Injector. The Single Edge Pro at max gave me many, many blade feels. The shave was still excellent.

Gear
  • The Supply Pro is aggressive at setting #6 and requires some attention to angle. It is still very, very efficient. I really like this Injector.
  • Still winning with the Strike Gold Shave soap. I have 4 more partial tubs to finish off after this one, so I am glad that it is as good as it is.
  • Bvlgari Man Wood Essence is very nice, but is somewhat fleeting.
  • Sauvage is a beast.

Other Thoughts
Lots of gaming things to read and prepare.

Shave Quality
A 2 is easier than a 6... at least on the Supply Pro. It was smooth sailing for today's shave. The Supply Pro continues to deliver the goods even on the mild settings. I continue to be very pleased with these new razors. I am BBS with no irritation. It is just fabulous.

Gear
  • Setting #2 is very nice for my face.
  • Yup, still going on the Strike Gold Shave. It looks like the bottom of the tub is starting to show through in a couple of places.
  • Really enjoying this new Acqua di Gio flanker.

Shave Quality
Setting #3 did very well today. This setting feels different than #6. I might take it back down to #1 to see how different #3 is... Regardless of that, the shave was excellent once again. A Close, comfortable, and low irritation BBS.

Gear
  • The Supply Pro is officially good great. The performance on my face is excellent.
  • The new Supply Black Label blades are killer as well.
  • The doughnut hole of death opened up in the soap tub today. I think there is probably a week or so of shaves left. Strike Gold Shave is on my list of "must buy" soaps.
  • The Mont Blanc Starwalker is woody Bamboo goodness. Very light and pleasant.

Gotta get off my ass and get :poop: done

Shave Quality
Went back to #1 today to compare. It worked well, but there is a tiny bit more irritation than there was yesterday. Could #1 be too mild for my face, or is it just some one-off weirdness? Not sure. However, the shave was still excellent. These razors are good enough that, if I wanted to go minimalist, the SE and the PRO would be contenders for keeping.

Gear
  • I should write up a longer post next week about the PRO and the SE. They are excellent.
  • I still need to do a comparison between the Supply Black Labels and the Chinese Schick blades.
  • Still going on the soap. The hole in the middle got much bigger today.
  • Wood Essence is very nice stuff.

Other Thoughts
I am so not a fan of Lent. I don't really care for the meat-less Fridays. But, that is kinda the point isn't it?

I remember in grade school that Fridays were always Fish Fridays in the cafeteria. But we were poor growing up - so I didn’t buy lunch often, instead - it was PB&J on Roman Meal bread (what parent does that to their child?).

Also what company names their product Roman Meal? Like that is something to champion? Obviously they forgot that Rome was defeated by a bunch of Gaul’s who were obviously eating beer bread made from Guinness - so that is why they won. True story.

Shave Quality
The shaves have been really good. The AS-D2 is a great razor, but it is a little harder on my face than the Supply Injectors were. Not by very much, however. Getting great results and I am a very happy shaver.

Gear
  • All good in the hardware isle.
  • Soap and the other software are all still excellent.
  • The fragrances are killer. The two from Naughton & Wilson are new takes on old-school, gentlemanly fragrances that really knock my socks off. Azzaro Wanted By Night is also great, but kinda potent. Mont Blanc Legend Spirit is aquatic and sweet with some musky undertones. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Other Thoughts
Getting my gaming groove back. I hope it continues. We'll see what happens tonight.
