Overview
A rough one today

Shave Quality
The NEW LC and the vintage Willy didn't really get along today. The lather was a little thin and there was a ton of blade feel and scraping. The shave was still almost BBS, but I may have to take tomorrow off to let my skin recover.

Gear
The NEW LC could have worked better for me today. Perhaps it doesn't like the Treet Classic so much.

SF Uomo Urban Feel is great smelling stuff.

Other Thoughts
I had a good time running D&D last night. I wish there had been fewer technical difficulties, but we will get those worked out and things will go smoother in the future.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

A decent weekend

Shave Quality
The Super Speed and the Willy got along so, so well on Saturday afternoon. I was still smooth enough this morning that I didn't need the shave.

Gear
The Super Speed loved the Treet Classic. It was a great combination.

Burberry. Am I right?

Other Thoughts
The weekend has been okay. It shouldn't have been a downer, but it was.

Overview
A good start to the week.

Shave Quality
Just shy of BBS today. The blade is definitely showing its age and putting it in a mild razor didn't provide the best closeness. It was an irritation free shave, however.

Gear
The BD179 is a very mild shaver. I think it needs a keener blade than the Treet Classic.

The EL Notting Hill is a very pleasant fragrance.

Other Thoughts
Just anoother pandemic Monday.

Smelling good on a Tuesday

Shave Quality
The shave was really good. The SOC boar and the Willy got along quite well again. The 87R gave really good results with the Treet blade. It wasn't BBS, but it was super good.

Gear
The blade is starting to show its age. It is at the stage where it is noticeably less keen, but very comfortable on the face. The results aren't the smoothest, but they are still excellent.

Banana Republic makes great fragrances.

Other Thoughts
We are getting started on our flooring project. I need to finish cleaning out the small bedroom that we turned into an office and get all of our books boxed up. At least I have until April to get rid of a bunch of the clutter.

A rosy Wednesday

Shave Quality
Another great shave for the vintage Willy, although the lather did get a tad dry in places. Definitely DFS+ results. A very good shave.

Gear
The blade is still going strong, but definitely not cutting as well as a fresh one. There was a good deal of blade feel in today's razor.

The soap left my face feeling good; and the post-shave definitely made sure it stayed that way.

The SOC boar is definitely superior to the Omega Pro. It feels much better on my face.

Burberry is still my favorite fragrance house. Brit is wonderful stuff.

Other Thoughts
Are we ready for D&D?

Shave Quality
Two really good shaves. No complaints here.

Gear
The blade worked well with both razors. The soap is good. The fragrances are both really great.

Other Thoughts
20% humidity in the house right now... Dry AF.

Shave Quality
Shaves have been good. My Monday shave had some very wet lather. It was quite good.

Gear
The vintage Williams likes lots and lots of water.

Everything else is good.

Other Thoughts
Trying to catch-up on my reading. Easier said than done.

Shave Quality
The lather was too dry today, but the shave turned out very good. The 40's SS was a little rough in spots when my angle faltered, but it still got me to almost BBS.

Gear
The 1940's SS can be aggressive. Watch your angle when using one.

Williams wants water.

Jovan Musk is a wonderful fragrance.

Other Thoughts
Caught up on the reading. Hopefully I can stay on top of it.

As I was shaving today I kept thinking about other soaps. My next 3017 might just have to be an Oz Shaving product. We'll see. I still need to finish the Heritage Hill Washington and the SV Felce Aromatica.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

I'll grant you that, but it comes with a steep downgrade in shave quality.
I wouldn't call it a steep downgrade. I am still very pleased with the results that I am getting. There is other stuff that is better, especially in the post-shave department, but Williams certainly doesn't suck for me. If it did, I would stop using it.

I wouldn't say it sucked, but I expect/demand more from a shaving soap. I used it for a few years. It was easy to find in drugstores.
