Overview
Three good ones in a row

Shave Quality
The LNHC Gentleman's Lavender is in the older herbal formula. It makes an excellent lather also. The shaves have been just shy of BBS due to the blade settling in. But the shaves have been good.

Gear
The LNHC is good stuff.

The Treet Classic is working very well. Palm stropping and the occasional hone with a DE hone are keeping it going. Last night I honed it with one of my carborundum DE hones so the blade was a little harsh today. However, the shave ended up being good with little lasting irritation.

Davidoff Cool Water is still one of my favorite fragrances. I should wear it more.

Other Thoughts
Things are getting better every day on the cat front.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

This is the first I time I have seen mention of someone using one of these DE hones. Interesting.

They work well, if you use them correctly. However, they only really work with carbon steel blades. Most, if not all, stainless sttel blades have so many coatings to help smooth the blade that honing the blade will only remove the coatings and degrade the blade's performance.

The blade is still a little rough

Shave Quality
The lather has been good. But the shaves have been a little rough. The Piccolo was a little better today. Still the overall results have been good.

Gear
All good.

Other Thoughts
I need to relearn patience with this kitten. He is driving me nuts.

I have never had any luck with any Treet Blade. They just don't work for me. I have used the Fatip Piccolo a few times and that is a deceptively sharp and aggressive little razor!

I have a Fatip Grande. I’m not sure how it compares to the Piccolo, but I remember seeing somewhere that it was considered to be pretty mild. I disagree with that opinion haha! Every time I use the razor my face is weeper city. Lots of blade feel too.

Same head on both razors, different handle. I don’t find them mild or medium. They are in the medium aggressive to aggressive category for me...they will mess you up if you don’t pay attention but they’ll sure teach you some good razor technique too!

I have the Fatip Grande as well, and agree that certainly isn’t mild lol. I don’t remember the last time I used a DE other than my trusty Rockwell 6c though.

Killer shave today. The old-school Williams really delivered excellent results with the 38c.

Two killer shaves in a row from the vintage Williams. Two passes for just shy of BBS. Loving it.

Gear
With this soap it is going to be a great February. Vintage Williams is great soap.

The Cremo Iced Citron and Driftwood is really excellent, just like all the other Cremo colognes.

Other Thoughts
It might be a long evening for me, but it should be fun.
