Great Christmas shaves

Shave Quality
The Christmas Eve shave was a little rough, but BBS. Today's shave was much better and still BBS.

Gear
PAA Magi is a great scent. It is probably my favorite shave scent. The CK-6 formula works well.

The Tech is a great shaver.

I really like the Shaghaf Oud. It smells a bit like a plum pudding.

Other Thoughts
Christmas has been quiet but nice. It would have been nice to see family, but it hasn't been a horrible day. We are having some Cognac in our new brandy snifters.

Loving that Magi scent

Shave Quality
Three great shaves in a row. BBS with small amounts of irritation, but that irritation didn't last. The lather was excellent. The shaves were wonderful.

Gear
PAA makes excellent soaps. I am a fan of their products and will probably always have them in my den. Magi, that amped up church incense fragrance is just off the charts good IMO.

The EdP of the Magi scent is more than necessary. The PAA AS is cologne strength. So, considering that the Magi fragrance is potent, I don't really need the EdP. The AS is more than enough to last the day. However, that isn't going to stop me from spraying the EdP on top of the AS.

Other Thoughts
I got a huge haul from @CBLSoap.com today. So awesome. Chris is a very generous person.

Shave Quality
The shaves were really good. All very close to BBS.

Gear
The @CBLSoap.com Simplicity base is really great. It has really great residual slickness. Unfortunately the rose lit my face up. I would love to try it in a different scent.

Something weird happened with the Oud Mineale soap. It has turned into a sticky gel that is a bit of a mess to load, but it still turns into a nice shaving lather.

The Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition is a really nice fragrance.

Other Thoughts
I am glad 2020 is over.

Yea the Oud Minerale soap got super soft and separated on me too. A decent amount of mixing it back up with a toothpick put it back to right for me, though it’s more of a cream now than a hard soap.

Shave Quality
The lather was good the first shave and better for the second. The Mergress got me almost to BBS. My face might need a day off, however.

Gear
LNHC's 8.1 formula is good stuff.

The Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold has really great longevity. It lasts until morning on my skin. It also sticks to clothes very well.

The CF GTB is also really good.

Other Thoughts
Had a good couple of days. 2021 is good so far.

Shave Quality
The shave yesterday left some tender skin in an even more tender state. The shave was excellent, but a break was needed.

Gear
All good on the shaving side.

The Mancera Red Tobacco is really, really good juice. I am also loving the Ferragamo Uomo Signature.

Other Thoughts
Three of our four new appliances were delivered today. We are just waiting on the new stove, which is scheduled to be here in March. I had to empty the old fridge this morning, so no time to shave. The new Bosch dishwasher is almost silent. The new stuff looks great. Emily still doesn't like the stainless steel finish, but I think it works well.

Shave Quality
The last three shaves have been almost BBS for me. The lather has been good, but thinner than I would like. The slickness is great, however. I am a little disappointed with the scent of the soap. The past two shaves have caused some face tingles, so I may have to discontinue using it. We'll see.

Gear
I like the performance of Lisa's 8.1 formula. I will have to find a scent that doesn't cause my face to tingle.

My frag choices this week have all been great.

Other Thoughts
Still working on setting up a D&D game. I need to get a few resources in order before I am ready.

Shave Quality
The soap still tingles my face a bit, but it is ultra slick. I got almost BBS all over. I just wish I hadn't slightly nicked my adam's apple.

Gear
The Parker Variant is a really good shaver.

Loving the soapy clean vibe of Sung Homme. It is another old-school winner for me.

Other Thoughts
The restaurants are open in Colorado, so we went to dinner last night. It was nice. Then we watched Tenet on Blu-Ray. Great film!

A decent Saturday shave

Shave Quality
Today's shave was less tingly than the previous one. I think blooming the soap and dumping the bloom water is removing some of the fragrance oils. The shave was almost BBS with only one small nick.

Gear
The VIG Shaving badger is a decent brush.

Boss Bottled smells amazing.

Other Thoughts
My first attempt at making homemade ribs in the oven today. It was mostly a success. I used too much rub, however, so they are way too salty. It was a good first attempt. Next time will be better.

Shave Quality
The shave was smooth and slick. It got me close to BBS with little irritation. My adam's apple is still a little raw, but it isn't getting worse. The soap didn't give me too many tingles today.

Gear
The Treet Classic is a wonderful blade on my face. Let's see how long it goes. It works very, very well in the 34c.

The Jaguar is a fabulous green fragrance. Cheap and really good.

Other Thoughts
Sunday breakfast out was really nice today.

Shave Quality
Full on BBS today. The shave was a good one. However, I will be skipping my shave tomorrow. The scrape over my adam's apple needs a day to heal.

Gear
Two shaves in and the Treet Classic is giving good results. I am towel stropping it to dry the blade and palm stropping it to maintain the edge.

This clone of Dior Sauvage is a great fragrance. I have a bottle of the real thing, but I am going to use it a little sparingly. The actual juice is a little expensive.

Other Thoughts
Work has been stressful for the last week. Today some of the stress was lifted. I still have a ton of crap to get done, but it is more manageable after this morning's meeting.

I almost chuckled at your comment of using a scent sparingly presumably because you don't want to use it up. Don't you have like 20 years worth of scent use at this point?
