Shave Quality
Today's shave was really good, short of BBS, but really good. The lather was more of a straight shave lather, but it still worked well. Time to put the Tabac away for a while.

Gear
The Parker 69CR is a good razor, as are all of my Parkers.

Other Thoughts
I hope everyone had a great Halloween. We watched The Shining and Psycho. Good stuff.

Taking Derby Cream for a Spin

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
The shave was really good. The Derby cream, with lots of water, delivered a good lather. The Injector got me to BBS with a tiny bit of cleanup on my neck.

Gear
After one shave with the Derby cream, I think it is good stuff. It produced a thick and protective lather that was also slick. The scent was meh, but it performed well enough. It left a decent amount of residual slickness behind, but also rinsed easily with water. It seems like I have another good cheapie on my hands. Although, I am not sure if I will replace it when it is gone. A few more uses are required for a reasonable test.

The Ferragamo Pour Homme is very, very pleasant fragrance that is also different than most that I have experienced so far. It has a predominant note of fig leaves, which seems to be a less common note in modern men's perfumery. It is spicy and woody, with a good floral backbone. It is so good that I am wearing it for the second day in a row.

Other Thoughts
We are really enjoying our new countertops and sinks. The new fixtures are great. My wife is especially happy with how they turned out. Now we are preparing for the next home improvement, new appliances in the kitchen. The dishwasher is original to the 2001 construction of the house. The stove is also original and is apparently having problems getting the oven up to temp. properly. The fridge was new in 2009. The microwave was installed in 2006. She doesn't want to replace all of them, but our appliances are white and that color is hard to come by these days. Also, the fridge and microwave are old enough that replacement is not a bad idea. This is going to be expensive, but not as bad as it could have been. She isn't a big fan of stainless steel appliances, but that is the finish that is easiest to get these days. It will be nice to have a dishwasher that is quiet enough to run while we watch television.

Overview
A couple of okay shaves

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
The second shave with the Derby cream was okay, not great. It didn't wow, but it didn't suck. Today's shave was about as good, maybe a touch better. But again it didn't wow me. Both shaves were BBS.

Gear
The Derby cream is an okay performer. It has some okay residual slickness, but not as much as I would like. The second shave was not as good as the first shave.

The KMF Natural Man is good, but isn't as slick as the Derby. I am not really impressed with either of them.

Mont Blanc Starwalker is great, great stuff. I was still smelling it, but not projecting, around 12 hours after applying.

The Man Silver is wonderful. I think it is going to last quite a while also.

Other Thoughts
I am having fun watching the election results. The numbers are fascinating. This is supposed to be the best turn out since the 1900 election.

A great shave and a great scent

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
Today's shave was excellent. The lather was slick and protective with good volume. The razor glided over my face with ease. I ended it just shy of BBS with next to no residual irritation. It was just a great shave.

Gear
Heritage Hill makes an excellent shaving soap. Washington is a great scent. The performance of the soap base is top notch. I am very pleased with it.

The Zaza blade worked well in the Karve brass DE.

I love Mont Blanc Individuel! It is a great scent that is a more reserved and refined version of Joop! Homme. Great juice.

Other Thoughts
Watching Creepshow tonight. The move is very 1982. Loving it.

Creepshow is a classic! I saw it first when I was 14, and it blew my mind! Then I saw it about 25 years later, and actually felt nostalgic.

Another great shave. Not quite BBS, but really great. The lather was excellent. The blade was a bit scrape-y.

Gear
Zaza blades are okay, but not great. They work well enough.

The Scentual Obsessions clone of Andy Warhol is a very enjoyable gourmand fragrance. I will need to get a bigger bottle.

Other Thoughts
The circus is great, but it is getting a little old.

A good shave and a loud perfume

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
It was good, but a little scrape-y today. I also gave myself a small nick, but one of those that made me think I hit a zit that was starting to form. It was almost BBS. No complaints.

Gear
The Heritage Hill soap is a winner. Let's see how long it takes to get to the bottom of the tub. Hopefully it will be in time for me to use something else for Christmas. We'll see.

Azzaro Wanted is a perfume in a similar vein as Invictus by Paco Rabanne. It is youthful, loud, and synthetic, but it lasts for hours and hours. I actually really like the scent. I have much better perfumes in my collection, but this one does have its place. I am a t-shirt and jeans kind of guy and this is a t-shirt and jeans kind of fragrance. It works for me, even if some might say I am too old for it. I like it and I am going to continue wearing it.

Other Thoughts
I am glad that I don't live in Georgia right now. Two more months of election ads would suck.

Shave Quality
The shave was excellent until I nicked myself right under my left nostril. It wasn't deep, but it was a bleeder. It would have been a really great shave if not for that. The lather was low volume, but incredibly slick.

Gear
The Ming Shi 3000s is a great shaver. It worked well with the Lab Blue.

Acqua di Gio Profumo is excellent juice. I am glad that I got the 125ml bottle.

Other Thoughts

Michael Kors for Men is good. Perhaps not a t-shirt fragrance, but it is really good.

A really excellent shave today. Full-on BBS in two with no appreciable irritation afterwards. The lather was Elite Tier in every way. Every shave should be as good as this one was.

Gear
The shave software performed excellently. The shave hardware did the same.

Nitro Noir is a killer fragrance. I love it. Woody, spicy, and earthy for the win.

Overview
Friday finally

Shave Quality
Had a great shave today after giving my face the day off yesterday. I am really enjoying the shave performance of this soap. It was not quite BBS today.

Gear
Heritage Hill is a keeper. The soap performs well and the tubs are filled to the rim.

The brass Karve is an excellent shaver. I hope they ship the SB base plates that I ordered soon.

Michael Kors for Men Extreme Sky is a nice blue fragrance. It is not the most unique thing in the world, but it does smell very nice.
Mont Blanc Explorer is exactly what most of the fragrance reviewers on YouTube described it as, a designer version of Aventus. It smells very similar, but not quite as high quality. It also kinda does its own thing in the drydown. I like it very, very much. In fact I like all of the Mont Blanc fragrances that I have experienced so far. Mont Blanc doesn't really do much that is new or unique, but the quality is really good.

Other Thoughts
Fridays are much less special when working from home during a pandemic.
