Shave Quality
Had to run an errand before a meeting, so I had to rush things this morning.

Gear
Dylan Blue is really, really great.

Other Thoughts
It has been an up and down kind of day. Gout sucks.

Shave Quality
Today's shave was almost perfect. It is BBS and there was almost no irritation afterwards. There are a couple small areas of tenderness, but I shouldn't complain about those.

Gear
The Rapira blade worked very well. This brand surprises me again and again.

I need to try more things from Guerlain. I will definitely be getting a bottle of L'Homme Ideal EdP

Other Thoughts
It is cold, overcast, and foggy in Denver today. But, the mountains are still on fire. We are supposed to get snow this weekend. I hope most of it falls on the burning areas.

Overview
Good shaves, but a day off is required

SOTD Pics
None

Shave Quality
Two good shaves in a row that were almost BBS. However, my neck is still a little tender several hours later. I think my face needs another day off.

Gear
The Zorrik blade seemed good. I just think I used it too hard today.

Varvatos Dark Rebel is good stuff.

Other Thoughts
Watching a ton of horror movies this month. It Follows is a weird one.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

How do you like the Amber Aerolite? I have a couple of PAA brushes, and they're all pretty great.

Sometimes a day of is the price of a good shave. Overall it sounds like it's coming together, slowly.

Haven't heard of It Follows, but this is the time for a good horror movie.

Fragrance: Rihanah Malik al Oud

Overview
a spicy and snowy Sunday

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
Today's shave was DFS with some really slick lather. I went a little heavier on the water than I normally do and had next to no blade feel because of it. Afterwards my face is feeling pretty good, except for my Adam's Apple. That got a tiny bit scraped up towards the end of the shave. Overall it was a really great shaving experience.

Gear
Tabac is awesome. As usual, more water is better.

Rihanah Malik al Oud (King of Oud) is kind of amazing. I had a hard time finding the fragrance notes online. One site listed them as: Saffron, pimento, rose, patchouli, caramel, oud, musk, incense, amber, resin, and woody notes. To me it smells of sugary sweetness with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, kind of like a Christmas confection. There are also hints of incense. The oud is earthy and a little fecal, but it is also subtle. I quite like it.

Other Thoughts
Staying home due to snow and such in Denver. I wonder if Halloween will be snowy this year?

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Caught up on recents Doug, sorry about the "rich mans" disease and the white stuff falling from the sky, we had that droplet stuff today. Think it is called Rain.... I guess 105 last week 28 degrees for a low and 60 for a high tomorrow LOL

Shave Quality
Shave was good today. Total BBS, but I really need to give my neck a day off. It is a little scraped up. I have been avoiding it because I want to get the most out of TabacTober.

Gear
Tabac is my favorite fragrance in all of wetshaving.

Other Thoughts
Looks like Colorado is getting close to increasing restrictions. Our Covid numbers are going up. It is going to be a rough winter in the US.

Skipped my shave to let my neck recover a bit.
Fragrance: Joop! Homme

Overview
Loving how I smell today

SOTD Pics

Shave Quality
Gave the neck a day off.

Gear
Joop! Homme is old-school and beastly, but I can't get enough of the scent of it. I have thought about getting the aftershave version of it, but this is a fragrance that doesn't need layering and would probably kill someone if it were. However, I could probably use the AS in place of the EdT some days. Hmmm...

Other Thoughts
The City and County of Denver is moving to higher restrictions. Businesses are reduced to 25% indoor capacity starting today. I imagine the rest of Colorado is not far behind. Hopefully, we can start getting our numbers under control.

BTW, I forgot to mention on Monday that I hit another weight goal. The scale said 215.1 in an unexpected surprise. Next goal is 210. It may take me a few months to get there, but I will get there.

Shave Quality
Yesterday's shave was a bit rough, but BBS. Today's shave was much less rough, and also BBS. Tabac lather FTW!!!

Gear
The Double Ring Clone is aggressive. It holds the blade completely flat, so angle is everything. This is only like my third or fourth time using this razor. It isn't great. The Parker 69CR is much, much, much better.

Other Thoughts
Another county has upped restrictions. My wife's job is going to be affected. She went to Costco today. They were out of toilet paper. Hold onto your butts, folks. It is starting to get bad.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Nice job Doug! That Double Ring clone doesn’t sound like much of a clone, except in looks. I think my 1905 double ring keeps a good angle, but likewise it is aggressive.

Yessir, it’s getting rough again.... expect things to get funny past the election. We are expecting to go on lockdown here in St. Louis on November 4th or the weekend after... Luckily grabbed the big pack of toilet paper at Costco several months back, we should be set for a few months. Ordered 2 weeks of Mountain House freeze dried food and two weeks of MREs back in January and have never felt more secure. Best wishes!!

Matt
