Overview
Another awesome LEA shave

Shave Quality
The lather was off the charts again today, but this time I am BBS- with no irritation in two passes. The R2 plate worked much better with the Treet Black. I am a very happy shaver today.

Gear
The Treet Black which on the R1 plate had problems cutting worked well with the R2 plate. I was worried that the edge was going south on it, but today's shave showed that the edge is still great. I have been palm stropping the blade after the shave at 30 laps per edge, per side. At this point I think the blade will go for several more shaves.

The English Fern could become a quick favorite. It starts out a little peppery but calms down some to a very nice fougère. I am glad I picked this up from @Spider. The wife even likes it. (Also, this appears to now be unobtainium. It was discontinued in 2019.)

Other Thoughts
Finished watching the first season of The Boys last night. That is a really great show. I can't wait for season two.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.

Shave Quality
The LEA just keeps giving me great results. I had to add a bit more water before the second pass today, but both passes were really good or great. I am BBS-ish and my face is smooth and soft. There was no alum feedback. I could get used to daily performance like this.

Gear
The LEA Classic soap is awesome.

The Rockwell 6C is really efficient with the right plate.

The Lucky Tiger Disappearing Cream is growing on me.

Other Thoughts
Monday's suck. I hope people leave me alone today.

Shave Quality
I decided not to change anything from yesterday, except that I didn't use any fragrance today. The shave was really great. Call it BBS-. I maybe could have used a bit more water in the lather, but it wasn't bad.

Gear
The LEA is great. The Treet Black blade is holding up well. No complaints here.

Other Thoughts
It snowed last night, again. Today the highway was clear of snow by the time that I got on it, but that didn't stop people from driving like excruciatingly slow.

Also, breaking in a new manager at work. We will see if he can help me resolve some standing issues.

Thanks for sharing. Mr Keester: was I ever the recipient of a PIF from you on another shaving forum? It seems to me that I was...

Another question: is it alright to post just random thoughts in a shaving journal? I ask because I'm newish, and I don't always play well with others, lol. On another planet my weird musings may not be as..... well received.

I ask because I like the FEEL of this place. And the crap rolling around my cranial cavity must sometimes be flushed out to make room for more flotsam!

You may have been. I don't remember.

AFAIK, your journal is your own space to do with as you please within bounds of the TOU. That is a better question for someone like @Cvargo, @CBLindsay, or @BarberDave. Some people around here like the bits about life and other random stuff more than the shaving parts of these journals.

Indeed Doug is correct the Journal is your space, however please ensure you are in bounds when it comes to the Terms of Usage. If you have a specific comment that may be on the line, just ask yourself, would you allow a 4 yr old child to read it, if not better not to post. We are mostly self policing, so if it gets deleted you will be notified and your will know it is not appropriate. Thanks All

Shave Quality
Another great shave today. The blade has settled in and is still giving me just shy of full BBS. The lather was good. I am fully satisfied with the results.

Gear
The LEA puck is starting to dish a little bit. I once again forgot to weigh the darn thing before starting, so I have no idea how much I have used so far. I still have a long way to go, however.

Other Thoughts
I am glad that I am taking Thursday and Friday off.

Overview
The long weekend update, Genghis Con 2020 edition

SOTD Pic
None

Shave Quality
I had a series of good shaves over the long weekend, even in the hotel for the convention. The blade has kept me at nearly BBS for each of the shaves. The LEA lather is rich, slick, and protective. It is all good.

Gear
I am a little disappointed in my Ming Shi 3000s (the Gillette Slim clone, not the Merkur Futur clone) as it broke after my shave on Saturday while I was at the gaming convention, leaving me with no way to shave for a day. 😢(n)(n) The baseplate of the razor separated from the rest of the TTO mechanism which caused the doors to snap shut completely. I was not able to find a way to reopen the doors and am not sure how to fix the blasted thing. At least I had the blade out at the time, so I can keep going with the "One Blade in February" challenge. Since this was such a cheap razor, and because I have a backup, I didn't feel too bad about binning the broken one. I am not sure it would be worth fixing. Hopefully, the backup will have a longer useful life.

Other Thoughts
Genghis Con 2020 (Genghis Con Colorado | The Khan of all gaming conventions) was a blast again this year. I played a couple of new (to me) RPGs that I really enjoyed. I played a couple of old favorites. I also spent too much money in the dealer hall, like you do. It was a hugely fun few days of roleplaying. I am already starting to make plans for Tacticon 2020 (Tacticon Colorado |) which is happening on Labor Day weekend here in Denver. I had such a good weekend that coming back to work today was hard.

Thank you for reading and commenting on my journal. I hope you have a great day and stellar shaves, Cadre.
