Shave Quality
Good shaves. I love Tabac and get great results from it.

Gear
The MMOC can be a real beast of a razor. It is very aggressive. However, today I got an amazing shave from it.

Other Thoughts
Watching "Hang 'Em High" on Amazon Prime today. It is a really interesting movie.

Overview
My first time with a Perma-Sharp

Shave Quality
Had a fantastic shave this morning. The WCS silvertip brought forth a creamy and satisfying lather. The OLD with Perma-Sharp skated across my face. I would call it BBS- for my two passes with good face feels afterward.

Gear
Perma-Sharps get a thumbs up from me.

Other Thoughts
Brought home a bottle of Rebel Yell 80 proof bourbon over the weekend... If you are thinking about buying this one, I think you should skip it. There is much, much better bourbon out there for your $20.

A work from home day shave.

Shave Quality
The shave was fantastic this morning, except I was a bit too exuberant with the razor. The NEW LC skated across the wonderful Tabac lather. However, I am left with some irritation postshave. I think I just over-shaved in a couple of areas. I am BBS, however.

Gear
If I ever find myself needing more blades, I will probably get some Perma-Sharps in bulk.

Other Thoughts
It is the start of a huge snow storm here in Denver. We are looking at 8-14 inches on top of what we got overnight Sunday. It has been snowing since around 0600 and the roads, while mostly clear, are getting packed down in the intersections. I am glad that I opted to work from home today.

Shave Quality
The OLD Type doesn't like the 7O'Clock green blade. I am full-on BBS, but there is more than a small amount of razor burn despite having a great Tabac lather.

Gear
This blade does not work well with this razor.

Other Thoughts
Milestone achieved this morning. The scale said 229.9! I know it is just barely below 230, but I am really happy. This is the first time I have been under 230 in my adult life.

Shave Quality
My face was still a little sensitive from yesterday's roughness, but it was a really good shave. I am going to call it BBS-, but the face feels are top of the heap.

Gear
The AOS tallow formula is a nice bit of unobtanium. There are tallow soaps out there from newer artisans that are better, but this soap is a solid performer that loads and lathers easily.

Other Thoughts
We only had two trick-or-treaters last night. Two little kids with their parents. So, now we have a metric ton of candy that my wife is going to take to work tomorrow. While the candy did give off a pleasant smell, I wasn't the least bit tempted. Yay me! The highlight of the evening was working on a project for my Reindeer buddy while we finished re-watching The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix.

Shave Quality
A couple of really, really good shaves. The Feather SS with Pro Guard made for a magical shave, with a cleanup pass using the MJ-90. Today's shave was superb also. The AOS tallow makes a fabulous lather. Just make sure to give it enough water.

Gear
This was my second (or third?) time using the SS. This was the first time using a Pro Guard. I think I may just stick with those blades in this razor. The combination really made my face feel great.

Other Thoughts
Mondays suck, but I only have a two day work week this week.

Shave Quality
Had a very nice Guy Fawkes Day shave with one of my British Techs. The Rapira blade did well in the razor. The lather was wonderful AOS/Valobra goodness. BBS in two.

Gear
Fine aftershaves are some of the best on the market. They don't have many fancy ingredients. They just work. The scents are also really, really well done.

Other Thoughts
Getting on a jet plan tonight. Going to Minnesota for some gaming fun. It is going to be really cold, but should be lots of fun.

Also, hopped on the scale this morning. 228.9. It may be slow going getting down to 220, but I am totally up for it.

Overview
First shave with the new Gillette Heritage DE

Shave Quality
With 4 day's growth to shave off, I happily loaded up a Gillette Platinum into the new Heritage DE. It is an EJ clone, so I knew it was going to be mild. The shave though was superb. After my usual two passes I was BBS and really happy. The AOS tallow lather was everything it is supposed to be, although I think a bit more water could have made it just a bit better.

Gear
I like the Gillette Heritage DE. It shaves like an EJ as it should. While it is zamak, it seems to have decent build quality. It looks like the female screw in the handle is a brass inset. The plating on everything looks good. I think it is a decent product for what I paid for it.

Other Thoughts
My trip to Minneapolis, MN was fun. I spent 5 straight days playing cards and hanging out with people from all over the world. There were guys there from Spain and the UK. There was one guy from Sweeden. There even was one guy who made the trip from Serbia. It was an amazing card game tournament.
