Good Stuff Josh! Your handle and knot are a really good match for each other!

Enjoyed the “hot towel sequence”! Since I’ve got my first couple non-vintage razors, you guys tempt me so much with the newest greatest stuff. I know I’ll eventually pull the trigger.

I’m surprised you’re not jumping on the Cubebe.

Hair curl had some good active motion!

Hot diggity! Here I have Opuntia teed up for use and, as Ronald Reagan might say, "There you go again." Tax preparation pre-empted my shave today but I got through the bulk of all the various returns I have to file with just some FBARs left to go. Woohoo! So tomorrow I follow your example and shave with that fine Opuntia. Then I complete the tax returns with a couple of days to go and breathe a sigh of relief. That Vector sounds great but I think I will stick with my DEs for now. I am glad to have your shave videos back. And welcome back to the US of A.

Wait...who let this guy in here! 🤪

Nice job Josh! Work sounded busy this time :ROFLMAO:

Nice job Josh!

Thanks guys! Purchases are being put on the back burner for the forseeable future to make room for the new house... for the most part ...but still going to try and put content out when I'm able to. A lot is going to depend on my schedule.

Josh...I am sure you have enough stuff that even a revisit will seem new to most of us!

Kyoto is an interesting scent. Tallow & Steel puts natural scents into their soaps from the area referenced by the name of the soap. So for Kyoto, they have yuzu and cedar from Japan along with seaweed. I pulled my tub out after taking a look at your excellent shave video and took a reminder sniff. The cedar and seaweed add some real complexity to the scent. For me, the seaweed component was a little distracting when I got this set upon its introduction last year. Now I look at it as requiring a little more sophistication on my part to enjoy it when I use it. I think it is similar to how I try to savor single malt scotch, slowly sipping it as I try to experience the various flavor (scent) notes which appear at various times. T&S Kyoto, for me, requires a higher level of concentration to really experience the scent palate it offers. This is a big boy soap.

The seaweed hit me at first as well, but all of these soaps have a way of mellowing and blending with time. Now I don’t notice it much at all as a distraction.
For me, the scent reminds me of walking in the orange orchards on a dry fall day with leaves on the ground.
