Dagwoodzs Tonsorium; vlog, shaves and reviews

I wasn't a fan of the Island Man. Nice shave otherwise. I am also a fan boy of Stirling. Maybe i'll use stirling the remove the peach fuzz LOL!

Enjoyed the video and have been looking at the general and was curious of the differences of material and how affected the shave. Thanks for addressing that. Does the brass version have a coating or is it like the Karve and develops patina?

Thanks Dave. The brass version does not have a coating, so will build a patina if given the chance. I wipe mine down periodically between shaves to keep it shiny. I almost sprung for the SS version they had/have available on their site. It's got knurling on the handle, which is my primary complaint about the two versions I have. I might need to pick it up as well to do a full comparison between the three!

Nice video josh. Listened on my way into work. Perfect length for my commute!

Thanks KJ!

Thanks Chad...I definitely realize that it might not be a good fit for some, that's the nature of fragrance. Stirling would definitely be a good shout for a soap to use for that task. The dirt on your face is definitely distracting.

I'm definitely a fan, btw, of the General, but the brass version is a much better and more efficient shaver than the aluminum version.

Thanks Josh. Yeah I contemplated the SS when they were clearing them out at $100 but failed to pull the trigger. All gone til V2 comes made solely in the USA. Probably gonna end up regretting missing the deal on the SS.

I'm sure they're going to re-release the SS version, in the V2, in time. I would jump on it when it does come available.

Thank you for the video. I just need to stay away from "island" scents. Any hint of coconut or sun screen and that's not the one for me.

The bigger question is, do you have a RX?

Nope...I primarily use straights, so the General and Bronze timeless are about as pricey a safety razor as I'd like to get. $200 buys a VERY nice straight on the secondary market.

Way less than that if you get an RX on the secondary market like I did.

Great video Josh! Not used Stirling yet, maybe one of these days. I’m quite happy right now with Proraso as my baseline soaps.

Chris, Chris, Chris. You're missing the best value samples you can buy on the market.

I don’t buy samples so...works for me!

These samples are full Puck size and a full oz. Throw down $10 and thank me later.

Great shave Josh ! Imagine what it's come to. I don't want a real close shave, because I won't be able to shave tomorrow !! Have a great day
