Hahahahahaha!!! Great banter guys, and thanks for the comments.

next video is uploading, my first impressions of Storybook Soapworks Hallward's Dream.

Another good video Josh and you used my brush

Very interesting how different the scents our noses pick up. I personally would have never called this a Barbershop scent...but I can definitely understand why you would. I personally picked up a lot of sandalwood, Bergamot, and basil.

Yeah, It's not tye absolute best soap out there...but I think it is much better than what you used. Such is what happens on a first shave with a product though. If you can give it a shot again I would...but otherwise...great first impressions.

That's the impression I got, Don. I knew it as soon as the bubbles started when I was building the lather. I'm not knocking the soap at all, but rather my lathering that was at fault. With that being said, I don't seeing it be quite as good as, say, Noble Otter or soaps such as that. But it was obvious that it's a much better soap that what I experienced today.

As far as the scent is concerned, there were enough similarities to barbershop scents, especially with the addition of the talc scent oil that the overall impression I got was that of a barbershop with the basil and sandalwood really giving it some depth and complexity. Quite enjoyable, but not a "wow!" experience by any means.

I wouldn't say it is good as Noble Otter either. I think it's a notch just below. I have Visions and Revisions and love that scent. I also have Coffee Spoons but have yet to use that one. I do find though that SBSW has exceptional post shave feel...when lathered properly of course...?

I keep forgetting I need to try Nobel Otter! I like all the Storybook scents except Shaken, but this is a hard one to describe.

Great Video as always Josh. How would you compare the Bronze Timeless to the Stainless if you're able ? Everything I've read from users stated it's overly aggressive but don't know if that was from people that had used the Stainless or the Bronze was there only Timeless to use. Peace out

I've not had the opportunity to use the stainless version yet, so I have no basis for comparison. I know that it's the most aggressive feeling razor in my stable of safety razors, though I don't know if that's due to the way the OC is machined, or if it's because of the geometry of the cap/baseplate. It's not quite as efficient as the Brass General either...I've debated putting it up on the BST and going in on a Karve with a few plates.

Just to give a little context, it's the most aggressive feeling razor, but not the most actually aggressive razor I own. That would be the Merkur Futur...that'll take a chunk out of you when it's opened all the way up if you aren't careful.

EDIT: Here's a graph I found that lists all the blade gaps for the Futur and all of its settings. Notice what the blade gap on the Futur is at ONE....

Now, with that being said, blade gap is just one component to how aggressive a razor is...but when that Futur is opened to 6.5, a blade gap of 1.75 will ensure that you need to have great technique to get an irritation free shave with it, sans blood.

Finally got to watch, great shave!

Lather still looked pretty stellar, as you had mentioned in your journal. As you can tell it irks me greatly that I haven’t figured out the RV Shavemac yet, lol...I know there’s a great brush hiding in there somewhere!
