Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Well since my last shave I have used Ramblin Man from Stirling each day. This scent is awesome and I am really digging it! When I get back from Disney I will be ordering a full bottle of the cologne. Now today:

Razor: Timeless .68
Blade: Vijay Stainless (1)
Soap/cream: SV 70th
Brush: Paladin PK47
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: SV 70th
Cologne: Aqua Di Gio

Well today being the Italian theme week I grabbed the 70th. What a good lather and scent. Really enjoyed this shave today. Even with a blade that was less than stellar.

Geez what a busy couple of few days. All the windows are installed but we did hit a snag. The sliding glass door their measurement was off, so that has not been replaced yet. They are making a new one and hopefully it will be ready soon! I will be calling them later this morning to get more info. Saturday we had Connor's soccer game and he was so close to scoring a goal. He is doing so good this year and I am very proud of him. I then went a officiated the spring championship games at the JV and Varsity level. Afterwards we planted the garden and prepared the backyard for entertaining. Which meant cleaning the furniture and spraying off the patio. For mother's day I smoked a brisket it was so good! It was a fun filled weekend and very busy but we enjoyed the time as a family. And I enjoyed being able to spend the day with my grandma, mom, and wife. I hope you all had a great weekend.

Nice Mother’s Day weekend report!

Man, I’d be a nervous nelly with a major door out unexpectedly. We’re they able to put the old sliding glass back in temporarily, or how did they find out the new one was off measure?

The door currently is like a french doors but only opens on one side. So they removed the frame then realized size was off, so they pieced it back together and have it in there. Not happy about it at all.

Sounds like a nice weekend minus the door. I forgot this week was "Italian Theme" for soaps....not sure I have anything that qualifies. I'll have to double check.

Razor: Razorock Game Changer .84
Blade: Vijay Stainless (2)
Soap/cream: Proraso Blue Cream
Brush: Stirling Boar
Aftershave1: Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Proraso Blue
Cologne: Stirling Barbershop

Well today I stuck with the Italian theme and grabbed my tube of Proraso Blue. Haven't used this in a long time, and the cream has actually hardened a tiny bit in the tube, but all is good. Perhaps I will adopt an every other day shave with this tube and just use it up so it can be gone. I get good shaves from it. The overall results of the shave was just okay but more on that in the bad blade series. Spoiler alert... stay away from this blade. I used the matching aftershave and paired it with the Stirling Barbershop cologne for an actually very nice pairing.

The temps are on the rise it was a wonderful 82 degrees yesterday and today should be more of the same. Just loving the weather! Connor decided to pack his suitcase yesterday. We bought him a mickey mouse suitcase, and he stuffed it with dinosaurs and hot wheels. When asked where his clothes are going to go... his response "mommy's suitcase." Have a good day Cadre.

Smells like wet paint! And I'm not even kidding. Out of all the Proraso scents, the blue is the only one that I simply cannot use. It literally smells, to me, like a freshly painted room. Oy! 😖
I agree

While I rarely disagree with @cmh737 I do this time. I get a warm black licorice vibe from proraso blue.
I disagree, unless of course you mean that new licorice that smells like latex paint...then you'd be right.
