Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Razor: Parker Variant
Blade: Gillette Nacet (4)
Soap: TOBs Luxury
Brush: Razorock Disruptor
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: Clubman Special Reserve

A moment of silence please.... TOBs has left the den in the most respectable way a shave soap can leave the den... down the drain over the course of many shaves!

Yup the TOBs is no more. And while I do enjoy the cream it is a great performer I must be honest I just don't see myself adding another TOBs cream to the den anytime soon. There are just too many other soaps on the list that I want to add instead.

The shave today was very good, there was just the right amount of cream remaining for an excellent shave. And the Parker Variant continues to impress it comboed with the Nacet blade is probably one of the easiest guarantee BBS shaves in my den. And it delivered again. I wrapped up the shave with th Special Reserve. I haven't used this scent in awhile and it is one I always enjoy.

Now that TOBs is gone my next every other day soap is going to be Proraso Green, that soap is old and about 50% remaining. Time to kill it off.

Well we are hitting 72 degrees today! I am so excited. Loving the warming temps. Just don't look at the forecast between thursday night and friday morning. FYI it is calling for 3 inches of snow! Yup must be spring in Utah.

Today is also a special day. My lovely wife and I are celebrating 8 years of marriage. Although it is a busy day with Knights meeting tonight and I have conduct a first degree. So this Saturday we have a sitter lined up and we are going to Ruth's Chris steakhouse. It has been on the bucket list of restaurants for awhile and we are looking forward to a nice meal.

Have a good day Cadre!

Happy Anniversary!

It feels like I'll never see the actual end of a tub of soap!

Great shave and congrats on finishing that tub of TOBS! An even bigger congrats on the 8 year Anniversary! Have a great night at the restaurant!

That's why I am using the same soap every other day. Would like to somewhat dwindle down some of my hoard. And thank you.

....old SV Dolomiti - roger that.

Congrats on your Anniversary!

And good job finishing off the TOBS!

So does the Doc have you wearing a Strassburg Sock? I got PF a few years ago in the middle of training for the St. George Marathon. I still had multiply 20 mile runs to do when it showed up. Finished the race and took some time off. Only real way to get over it.

Happy Anniversary! How many years now?

Thanks all around. Yes I am wearing one of those strassburg socks. And the physical therapy has helped quite a bit. I actually accepted some basketball games for this Friday. I have been off the court for about 45+days. So looking forward to getting back out there.

We are celebrating 8 years of marriage.

Razor: Parker Variant
Blade: Gillette Nacet (5)
Soap: SV Felce Aromatica
Brush: Semogue Owner's Club
Aftershave1: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aftershave2: SV Felce Aromatica
Cologne: Asylum Royal Fougere

Well this is the last SV soap in my den and I saved the best for last! I LOVE this scent. It is wonderful! And in 4.3 formula it is just perfect. I hit shaving nirvana today. Walked away with a BBS and an absolute wonderful shave. I rounded it out with the Asylum Royal Fougere to get a nice scent on today. Man this was good.

So the SV soaps are back in there drawer, Proraso Green is the new every other day victim making it's appearance tomorrow, and on the odd days I will be working through my Fine soaps, I own the whole line minus Snake Bite, so I have some good shaves lined up!

Well I got the all clear last week from the Physical Therapist to try and resume normal duties when it comes to officiating. And then yesterday I got a phone call to work the Natalie Williams basketball tournament. She is from Utah, a gold medal olympian, and WNBA champion. So I accepted the invite and will be working games Friday evening. So I won't be online until late that evening. So stick around folks this is a VERY competitive tournament and you will get some stories on Saturday afternoon, after my haircut in the morning of course.

Have a good day Cadre.

Outstanding shave today Chad! That scent from SV is #2 on the purchase list behind Opuntia. (#3 is 70th, incidentally)

Really looking forward to hearing how the upcoming tournament goes...should be some good stories coming out of it!

Friggin' Chad....now I want a Variant

But that tournament sounds pretty cool!

Chad the superstar referee...
I really like the idea of being able to finish off some soaps by using it every other day while maintaining variety on the off days. I have a similar approach i use right now. I use the same soap ...well, i use the same soap...ah heck, i don't use the same soap again if i can help it. Maybe i will pick one to finish off.

It definitely is satisfying to see the bottom of a tub, but not as satisfying as using a different scent each day.
