CBL Premium Soaps

Have had this sitting and waiting for over a year. Now that I'm using it, I wonder why I waited so long. It is a strong leather-forward aroma with a surprising lavender kick. In the tub the leather scent dominates, with just a hint of lavender. Add water and make lather and the lavender comes rushing in with a powerful scent that forces the leather to the background. Rinse it off, and the leather lingers for hours. I don't have a clue how this happens, but it does.
In terms of the shave, CBL soaps perform flawlessly, leaving my skin smooth and soft.

Ok so I’m all about supporting vendors on here. I’ve owned and used my fair share of Stirling but I’d like to try CBL as I here a lot of good things about the brand.

So any suggestions on what I should try?

Thanks!

Leprechaun Fart Moss! aka SIR Fougere ....... in either the Premium or Tonsorial (or both!)
It's Chris' take on SIR Irisch Moos

I love Fougere’s but I have to admit I’ve never tried Irish Moos.. with that said the only type of Fougere I’m not crazy about is the Paco Rabanne types. So far my favorite Fougere is MDC as far as soap goes and I’ve been working on making my own AS to match it. I’ve sampled Pentilgan Fern and like that and also like Saponifico Varesino Felece Aromatico.

Other than that I like SV Felece

I have become a big fan of the Smokey Mountain Cedar (Tonsorial). The scent description is pretty much spot on.

I also agree, the Sir Fougere is great. To me, it smelled like a high class hotel laundry detergent. I know what you're thinking, lol. No, that's a big compliment. Like walking into a hotel room, being shocked by how awesome it is then smelling the sheets and saying, "Wow, I have to find out what landry detergent they use!".

Chris is pretty accessible. He doesn’t really have sample packs for sale that I’ve seen, but if you contacted him directly here, you could probably work something out.
Thanks my friend for the suggestion I’ll definitely check out the website for a soap as I’d rather buy direct and give Chris the bigger profit rather than go through a supplier but I don’t want to bother Chris or ask for favors/samples if their not a normal thing he offers.

Chris only sells direct (for now).
Dragon’s Blood and Roasted Oatmeal Stout are my two favorites. Insurgent is wonderful (with a theme you will appreciate). And any Ghost scent that has his synthetic cooling agent (especially lime and Iron Throne). I could go on an on about his scents. I have quite a few, about 50 tubs, lol. And be sure to try both formulas, premium and tonsorial. Most of his premium soaps are on sale right now.

Thank you for all the info on the soap scents and bases I’m going to get on my computer and check them out as soon as I get home.. well between the NFL playoffs. Lol

I’ve used the synthetic cooling agents before and they work very well without affecting the scent like Menthol seems to. I have B&M Terror and the soap is very cooling but the AS will absolutely freeze your face and God forbid you get it in your nose, eyes and mouth or other areas like I did!
It was one of those OMG moments is all I’ll say and now I’m afraid of it! 😂 No wonder Will had a smirk on his face when he gave me a set to try out at the Maggard show where he launched Terror.
Hope the Lime isn’t that cold Lol

On his site Chris described the lime as mildly cooling, I believe. @Dave in KY 3017-ing a puck... He'll be able to tell you for sure.
