CBL Premium Soaps

I know @GearNoir really enjoyed the fresh vetiver, I hope you like it too. It is pretty soft stuff so if it seems to disappear really quickly (in your opinion) just let me know and I’ll hook you up with more soap. The horsepower is great soap and smells way better than it sounds like it would (burnt rubber?).

I just got through shaving with the Fresh Vetiver. Did a basic 3 pass shave with some minor touch up's.

While it's a softer soap. I don't have a problem with it being that. I Didn't bloom it and whipped up a nice dense lather with it in about 20 seconds or so.

Did my fist pass with an old blade that I tossed after that and replaced it with a new Persona prep blade. Next 2 passes went well. This soap performed very well all around for me. Plenty of cushion, slickness and a great post shave feel. No cuts, or weepers to report either.

It's a good feeling when this happens with a new soap you are trying out. Figure my shaves are only going to get better after I use it a few more times too.

Applied some Dickensons witch hazel on afterwards. No tightness or soreness.

I've always been sensitive to products that meet meet my skin. Deodorant, laundry detergent, bar and liquid soaps. So my face had a mild reaction to it. This has happened to me before with other shave soaps/creams and go's away after a 2-3 uses. I got a feeling this Will happen with the Fresh Vetiver. Face is just adapting.

Reaction was gone in about 15 min. Face is feeling great and I haven't applied any balm or lotion.

I was wondering if the Horsepower smelled like it's description on the CBL site. I agree it's different than that. It kind of Reminds me of what it smells like when I walk into a store to buy new tires.

Plan to use it in my Old Spice mug when I use up the Hasslinger soap that's in there right now. Shouldn't take too long, as I only have enough for about 6-7 shaves left in it.

Thanks

I got a feeling it will. I had this type of reaction to Turkish shave soaps when I first tried them and it went away by the 4th shave or so. Just made my face itchy in a couple of areas for a short while.

Didn't give me a poison ivy like break out that I've experienced with some soaps and creams I've had to quit using.

2nd shave with the Fresh vetiver yesterday.

Everything went well. Like how it lathers up easily and feels on my face when applied. Plenty of slickness and glide. Haven't had any cuts so far and my face feels comfortable afterwards. No tightness at all. It dosent even feel like I shaved accept for my whiskers being removed and a great face feel.

I haven't tried hundreds of soaps. I use what I have in my rotation until it's gone. Unless I have a severe reaction. But this soap really does everything I can ask for.

Still got a few minutes of itch about 10min afterwards. But it was much milder. Pretty sure my skin will adapt to it and I'll be itch free in a couple more shaves.
