Brew's Foul Concoction

The MK notch is so small by comparison my mind interpreted it as being inverted until I took a longer look. I like a good pine tar soap every so often, even have a pine tar shave soap. Reminds me of childhood because my brother used a tar bath to treat his horrible psoriasis...that stuff was not nice to the tub.

I saw a couple of fragrances in you soaps that caught my eye, Chris. I'm going to work my way through some more of these lavenders I've been enjoying, and then let myself do a little shopping.

I would be honored to have a CBL Soap lather grace your face one of these days. I'd be even more honored to get the Brew seal of approval or nod of appreciation.

My run with the dog got rained out this morning, so I took the extra time to be extra non-productive. Nice shave with the MK No. 32. Not one of my favorite razors, but I can't complain about the results. Clubman SR and YSL oud absolu is a powerful combo. I think I still stink.

I've been slowly getting the winter boots and shoes ready, and putting away the summer stuff. It looks like my cold weather hiking boot have developed a pretty good crack in the right boot vamp. This will likely be the last season for them, they're about 30 years old. Sno-Seal is great stuff, but it won't make leather last forever. I'm also a big fan of Bick 4 and some of the Safir shoe stuff.

30 years out of a boot is amazing! I can’t seem to get any of my shoes to last more than a few years.

These really aren’t getting much use any more.

You have to get the good quality stuff. I had my last pair of western style work boots going for me for a solid 4-5 years of every day use. The only reason they are no longer in that capacity is they started falling apart on the inside of the boot. They still get used as my knock around boots at home for yard work and such.

I’m still reading up. I read that Kiwi is not good because the wax doesn’t let the leather breath.
I don't use wax polish on too many of my shoes. I'm really don't care if they shine too much. I just want to make sure the leather is cared for; usually that's just some sort of moisturizer and very accessional cream polish. These boots have never been polished.

Why "profile posts"? How do they differ from regular posts? Are they just meant for personal status/updates vs. on-topic forum stuff?
