Brew's Foul Concoction

I've had some good news re: new career/job. I've been told, including by the HR recruiter, that an offer is forthcoming. She called to get the details necessary for the letter/offer. Unfortunately, the closer to the Holiday we get, the more likely those who have to make the final formal approvals will be off to their families and vacations. The formal offer, therefore, likely won't come until after New Years. Big companies can move at a snails pace. They can also make your head spin.

It's been a while since I've spent any quality time with my creep. I'm going to take a couple of turtles out for a spin. Samedi is first.

Sweet news! I know you traveled for an interview; is it a remote job or you need to relocate?

Congratulations on the forthcoming job offer! Job offers this time of year are few and far between. Even if it is after the first of the year, this is a big deal!

I was asked if I would be willing to relocate, but it's not necessary. I can work remote, like I do now, and travel when necessary.

Thank you. I'm pretty excited about making this change.

I don't often shave with the little turtles. Although I have a spare set of scales, given the set's rarity, dropping one razor is like dropping the whole set, since it can't be replaced. So I only take them out when I get the urge.

These are very small razors, and super hollow. Freshly honed, each will shave as closely as a Feather AC blade. When they were new to me, Doc honed each on a different jnat, resulting in a set of Ninja Turtles. lol

I have discovered the most sickening sound in wet shaving. While touching up the Tuesday Turtle I noticed the scales were starting to get a little loose, so I brought it into the basement where I keep a jeweler's hammer and a small anvil. "Tap, tap, tap, . . . thud." There may be no worse sound than metal on shell. Dull, stomach turning. Luckily, just a dent, no crack; edge looks nice though.

In other news: On to career #3. Yahoo!
