Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

....So the Tabac scent is fine with me. Light to me. Nice without being overpowering. Not unpleasant but not something I'd long for either....
That's the way I was when I first started using Tabac. I wasn't in the "love it or hate it" camp - I was in the middle. But I kept using it because it was such an excellent performing soap. As I kept using it, I started to like the scent more and more till one day I realized that I totally dig it!

Be careful! That Florida Water can be potent stuff! But I'm with you...I like the scent also!

I already was thinking it'll grow on me, then maybe the aftershave KJ.

OCtober and Razorocktober Shave #3

Wednesday October 3, 2018

Razor: Timeless .68 Open Comb

Blade: PolSilver SI (6)

Brush: Paladin 26mm Lime Lotus

Soap: Razorock WTP Green
Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber

Aftershave 2: Pinaud Clubman Citrus Musk

So I had and early start and finish to the day. Came home to some yard work and was ready for a shower and shave before settling in for the evening as a bachelor til tomorrow evening.........and I have the day off tomorrow. Woohoo !! Tried to do a shave video that clipped the 1st part off but it is uploading what there is now and I will post when done. Off the tub the soap you might think vetiver or amber and maybe even a patchouli but this is definitely a lime scented soap. As you lather it and shave it definitely comes thru as a Lime scent. That was to make up for the brief review I did at the beginning that got clipped off. These are nothing fancy but decent soaps and fun to use. No muss and no fuss a nice smooth shave and ready to lay around and banter on the forum and watch tv for the evening. Hope all in the Cadre are having a stupendous day !!

Thanks for posting Dave. Was that an electric Old Spice whistle in the background?

I'm going to have to listen again now. I thought "He must have a shaving text tone!"

Oh my text alert has been Old Spice for a long time. It may have been that going off if you heard it. Funny
That's pretty cool. I would switch mine to that, but I use the tone they use for ship announcements on the Disney cruise line. It takes me back.

Great stuff Dave! Nice pic too! You have been upping your photo game as of late.

Razor: 1919 Single Ring

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)

Brush: Eric Sorrentino Custom 24mm Silvertip

Soap: CBL Premium Soap Tabacaveg
Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber

Aftershave 2: Avon Cool Sage

Broke out 1 of my Single Rings for Open Comb OCtober and CBL Tabacaveg hopefully qualifies for the Tabactober. I swear no matter how light a touch these razors leave me feeling raw like I just took the top 10 layers of skin off me. No weepers or cuts. Typical close shave I would get with the Timeless but not as good on the neck as I could with the Timeless. Still feel raw. Anyway, I'm smooth and clean shaven. Topped off with the Avon Cool Sage which I'm noticing the powdery finish it has more then last time. I'm liking it especially the face feel which neeed today. I'll take any of my moderns over this any day. Have a great day and evening Cadre !! Pic came out kinda meh today. Need to tweak lighting in that room.

Beautiful set up, Dave! I think Tabacaveg should definitely count towards Tabactober. It's like when the Hulk was gray and called himself Joe Fixit. Different, but still the Hulk.
