Nice shave this morning with V1 which is really V2 of the Monkey Puck which has been renamed Parson's Soap Monkey Puck so maybe John is leaving things open for the name OR he's planning multiple soap bases Monkey Pucks being the Mug Soap and his premium line is coming down in the pipeline..........I jest. This was a step up for sure as @GearNoir Indicated. Video uploading and will be in the Member Video Section. Have a great day Cadre !!

All caught up. I'm gonna have to go back and read on all the stuff you said about the frag samples Gus sent you. I have a feeling there are gonna be some real gems in there for me. You know what to do. Have a good one!

Love the shave with the minion brush and the Techmatic. Glad you are enjoying its unique design. I last used one in 1972. Replacement cartridges must be scarce.

Shave # 364 ( 417 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: GSB (3)
Brush: Stirling Boar
Soap: Parson's Monkey Puck Test Soap V1
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Nivea 2 into 1 Splash
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Opus 1870

I had a STELLAR shave today with the V1 Test soap from @The Monkey . I used my forgotten and still breaking in Stirling Boar. Down to 6 hairs lost so improving. I got a nice acceptable lather for passes 1 and 2 that you expect from a "Mug Soap". Pass 3 I decided to go back to the lather bowl I loaded from to get more product as I don't think I got enough to match the water the boar had held. As I loaded I thought in fairness to the soap I should use a synthetic, not a new to me breaking in boar brush. Grabbed my Sorrentino Seafoam and loaded it from the lather bowl. I immediately had a great creamy lather going on my face. I will hold my thoughts on this soap until I can compare it to V2. I truly wish I had these sooner so I could have had more shaves with them before the 3017. Unfortunately I need to move on to V2 for the next 2 days so I can start the 3017 in time. Is it Elite Artisan soap? No, but I will say this....If I could make soap of this quality myself without much trouble, I would MAKE my own and learn to scent them myself. Hat tipped to @The Monkey He ain't monkeying around without results.

Have a great day Cadre !!

Shave # 365 ( 418 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: GSB (4)
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Soap: Parson's Monkey Puck Test Soap V2
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Nivea 2 into 1 Splash
Fragrance: Acqua Di Gio Profumo

Another stellar shave with V2 soap. Few weepers around my mouth that have already sealed. Tyical for me this time of year and skin dryness deal with. I didn't notice a great degree of difference between the V1 and V2. V2 perhaps slightly if anything more residual than V1 but the lather seemed to dry quicker on my face (That may just be my individual perception with a single use) I will say I like the fresh uncluttered clean smooth feel of my face afterwards. Again I'm VERY impressed John got on 2 or 3 tries such a nice soap. If I had to pick with so few tries I would lean to V1 and you may want to tweak it but I would be totally happy with it myself not knowing the process and what ingredients to tweak if I wanted something else out of it. It checked all the boxes enough for me to wish I had the know how to make it myself. Video Uploading to Member Video Section. Thanks again John for the privilege to try this soap out ! ill use again tomorrow. Have a GREAT day Cadre !!!
