Well fall is finally here, temperatures are going to be a nice cool 100° today so I thought bringing out the PDP 63 was in order

All kidding aside, this is a wonderful set that can be used year-round. The Sorrentino and Vector, provided a nice DSBB shave

Some alum, yardley talc, and the PDP 63 fragrance for a great shave to begin my Monday at the shop

Well, another warm day here in the old Pueblo should be somewhere around 103 to 105, so another gin and tonic inspired shave with noble otter Jack.

The Blackland Osprey was on whisker duty today, as was the Paladin Cleo to prepare the surface

A beautiful, three pass and dolphin smooth.

Finished up with Yardley Talc , as well as the wonderful minty fresh and bright Floris 1962

A bit of a smorgasbord of a shave today. Kindly another gift by. @Majorrich , apparently a small artisan maker from Ohio called the adopted acres, I think he got this sample at the recent Ohio shavers meet up. You would never think that Sherri and mint would go together, but it is a wonderful croap. Probably best for both lathering. I was able to take a dollop and put it inside the brush in it lathered absolutely wonderfully.

Three passes today with Tedalus, and a very nice DSB shave

Finished off with the cucumber mint, which hazel from Quinns, and what seems to be a chameleon of an aftershave in the Swiss Pitralon

Finished off with what I believe is the finest mint, and that’s wild mint from Azzaro

Well, today is my Thursday so we’re almost there

Woohoo it’s my Friday. Looking forward to a nice long weekend getting the RV ready for a camping trip and a zoom call on Sunday.

Since we were about to”fly” up to the lake Noble otter logbook was in order. The full set was perfect for today.

The lady was on whisker duty and did a fine job

Quick shave for BarberErrand Day. I bowl lathered for the 2nd day in a Row!!! The Turkish Copper lather bowl is a nice changes and Whips up lather very easy, although Proraso Cream is easy all the time. Day 2 with the Kai ProTouch MG blade, this time in the Vector. Again, a very nice face feel, but milder than the Proguard. Still ultimately a DSBBS shave, just a bit more work. The guards are a bit closer together. Finished off with Alum, @CBLSoap.com Litsea Cubebe WH,Tals, and Azur Lime

So an ALL star Proraso Line up today.


At Rancho Del Husky:

Getting sick of the heat, we have a new baby King snake patroling the Ranch, as well as a nice huge Bull Snake ( Gopher ), and a bunch of new Quail, and Texas Round Tail Squirrels of which our Squadron ( 7 strong ) of Red Tail, and Coopers Hawks are having fun with. Not to mention a Coyote having a discussion with Lyka and Kona through our back fence, of which the Coyote determined to give tribute to "The Real Wyle E. Coyote" and left in a hurry. The motorhome is prepped for out upcoming escape to the Mountains and Lake. Looking forward to a short week at the shop as well.

Well, my Sunday, and a Tuesday Drinks N Dave's Show.... How's that for Confusion? Anyway I was feeling Japanese today but way of Seki City, Brooklyn NY, and an Italian in Michigan somewhere. Bowl lathered again with the Cherry Bamboo, and Oh Boy, Shit Howdy what a shave. 3-passes with the Daishi and Good to go. Haircut day, a few errands and that is about it.

At Rancho Del Husky: Quiet on the homestead, dogs out for their daily patrol and again.... HOTUMN is still here. Back to the shop manana for a short week, the off to the Mountains and Lake.

Good morning everybody it’s my Monday but it is a short week so a nice quick shave with the vector and the classic TABAC

Three passes, DSBB with the new MG pro blade and just goodness all around

Starting to feel a little bit of Christmas in the air so I figured old spice or should I say an old spice homage was in order for today

Dug out the red tip from the archives through a brand new persona blade in and it provided a wonderfully smooth DSBBS shave

Finished off with some lavender witch hazel, the spiced aftershave toner, and Buckeye all from Seaforth

And of course, with the Shulton old spice cologne

At Rancho Del Husky: although it does not affect us at the ranch, it does show that we are still in a tinder box and fires can start at any time. I posted a picture in the what’s in front of you thread of a fire that started yesterday near my shop and what was 50 acres is now close to 1000 fortunately it’s moving in the opposite direction or we’d be pretty concerned

Looking forward to one more day at the shop and then off to the lake in the motorhome with the dogs to do some relaxing and fishing for some trout and walleye and pike

OK, here’s a brain teaser just like you, today is my Friday. I know for those of you that know my schedule that’s making your brain bleed out your ear. Anyway, getting ready for our RV trip up to the mountains and the lake. We’re gonna be leaving at Dark 30 tomorrow to get up there and enjoy the cool weather of 8000 feet and fishing for walleye, Pike, and trout.

So, as we get ready for the trip, I figured that Heather was the perfect shave set with the English fern homage, as well

The brown razor works got the call up for today and provided a very nice three pass DSBBS shave

I hope, Everybody enjoys their weekend.

Camping shave Day #1

The software will remain the same till Thursday, but will rotate the Red Tip, and Tedalus for the tools. Another taste of Software minimalism, or Purgatory as I call it.

Very nice shave in the campsite facilities, will shave outside tomorrow. Nice 3 passes with the Red Tip for DSBBS. Finished off with @CBLSoap.com WH, English Fern talc, and Brut. Nothing more “outdoorsy “.

At the Lake:
Chilly last night with temps in high 30’s-40’s, but warming up quickly. Today’s agenda is:
Dog walk around the lake
Maybe a bike ride (that may be too much work)
Nap
Food
Nap
Cigars/alcohol
Nap
Book
Fishing
Nap
Bonus!- my camp chair has a built in cooler so I may negate all the above to explore how much ice and booze will fit. If that becomes the case then
Nap, nap, nap, snacks, pet dogs, nap, nap

A soap from the archives today. While digging through the soap locker, I found this hiding in the background CBL soaps Barba

Looking for an aftershave and a parfum to match, we went from one economic extreme to the other. For the aftershave the Pacific prince, which is a mashup of Barbasol an Aqua Velva. Very inexpensive on Amazon on the flipside we went with Bleu de Chanel. The synergy between all three of these was absolutely perfect for a three pass DSBBS shave with the vector and a
Kai Protouch mg. A little bit of talk and off to the shop.

At the Ranch:
Everyone was very happy to be back home. The dogs have all the acreage to run around on with no tie outs like at the campsite sleeping in the home bed makes it nice. We had a fantastic trip good fishing, better relaxing and a pretty good bike ride. The coach is all cleaned out and ready for its next adventure.
